I teach legato playing before detached playing. So many brass players who have been taught to blow without the tongue to start a series of notes end up huffing the notes. It then can take me up to 3 months to change to air being continuous. This is why I teach legato first so the brain learns to sustain air flow. Later I introduce detached by getting students to keep blowing the air but say du or too short away from the instrument and use that feeling when playing

Could you do a video on detached playing. Teachers tend to keep discussing legato and slide movement but not detached playing

It's rare to hear so many trombones play so well together! I missed the percussion in the Grieg.

Mr. Jenkins. Would love to read your dissertation in full. Is there a source I can consult to obtain a copy? Thanks so much for the work you do in service of euphonium players the world over.

Met Megumi twice saw her here for a recital in Vegas at UNLV and she did a masterclass the following day but I couldn’t go because of school. Anyways met her at the recital at unlv then at a Milwaukee symphony orchestra concert. Amazing awesome person she is lovely. Super nice and phenomenal player of course. But oh my gosh going back and seeing this, her English is soooo much better now. So much better spoken and has so much passion and knowledge.

I was at a movie with family in Alexandria Virginia. The wind, rain, and thunder was so loud it was louder than the movie. The power in the theater went out. Got home late that night and a tree fell on the window sidings at the house and ripped them off. I was 21 at the time. Coming up on the 10 year anniversary for this storm.

Now this storm was really scary, I was looking out of my bedroom window and the winds were like nothing I had ever seen! Our power was knocked out for at least five days! I had to stay with a relative....

Wow, Which part were you in? I was working from home and heard and huge storm gust of wind that kept intensifying. I thought it was a tornado. Our power went out but just for about an hour or so.

EARTH is as flat as beautiful pancake. Get the Nikon P1000, make a photo of an object 100 miles away. Supposed curvature about 1,2 miles - MISSING! NASA is already busted, destroyed all the shooting material of the moon landing. Want more proof? Michelle, you are disgrace to the "science", fake actornots, all freemasons!!
