Hi Dr Desmond, will seroquel caused high GGT? My mother diagnosed bipolar disorder and been taking seroquel for more than 10 years. Body check result for liver is all good except GGT is 41 UL/ L and aplha foeroprotein (Tumour maker) is 10.6 NG/ ML. if the seroquel caused the GGT high, does it means seroquel is harmful to her liver or just the medication itself will cause the GGT level high? what should i take note for this case?

I am of normal weight, 60 Yr old F. I do not drink or smoke- I have fat on my liver - not sure how much because nobody can seem to tell me. Even though I have had multiple scans, MRI w contrast, CT's etc. (the radiologist will note the fat infiltration- but never how much) My liver enzymes in labs are normal -but my AFP is always between 9.7- 11.7 .I also was recently dx with severe EPI and my stool elastase is very low @ <15 -yet my amylase and lipase come up normal in lab study. -I did have RCC -R kidney 2006 and had an RF ablation- after yrs of follow up scans they say resolved. I have been exposed to Hep B (I was in the medical field) but labs say I'm Immune to it (I do not know what that means, am I a carrier with an active Hep B infection?) I did take a series of Hep B vaccines yrs ago while working in the hospital. My fasting glucose is on the rise also , only up to 106 but My father passed from NAFLD @ 74 from cirrhosis and diabetes related illness (He never drank) Also, My thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies come up very High @173 - yet TSH is 0.85 considered L - yet I was dx years ago w/ Hashimoto's HYPO thyroiditis, and now it reads L w High antibodies, I'm so confused -Doctor I live in a rural area and cannot find any Endos or hepatologists - even the large hospitals hours away aren't taking patients for lack of available dr's in these specialties. I feel so exhausted and depressed because of the merry go round without answers. I believe it may be due to pituitary /hypothalamus issue and perhaps this has been happening metabolically for years untreated- so perhaps it's not only been attacking my thyroid for years, but now my other organs, could this be the case? All other blood test, Lipid Profile , urine profile are normal. Now Dr told to do CT Scan.
