A cheaper way is to only sell one of the 8 items at this market then one at the next and so on. You don't have to pay as much in fines for abandoning missions.

I just tried mining in beluga liner 😅 without that scan-asteroid thing and with 2 2D m.lasers (2 collectors) and without surface scan in anarchy system so.. 😅 no hotspots, just go into the ring and fire😅.. plus every module basic, everything E class, basic shields😅, not a good idea atall

Thanks for the useful video. Probably not using your cargo hatch during this journey, and deactivating it will reduce power draw. Deactivate the docking computer and SC Assist if fitted too.

There is still a crashed Anaconda sight on the same planet but it has a new layout now. You can still get the same high grade materials there. Antimony, Ruthenium, Tellurium and Zirconium.

Great video! You can save a bit of time by jumping to a fuel star near the next neutron, fuel up, then jump to the neutron.

I initially used the megaship method to gather occupied escape pods near Colonia. However, I found a way which I prefer although it might not be for everyone. I think it's quicker and does not require relogging. Find a tourist beacon in anarchy space. The nearest to Colonia is Experimental Habitat 002 in Eol Prou LW-L c8-99. You can use EDDB to find them. Take a combat ship with a lot of fire power and collector limpets. Blow up the Belugas which show up every couple of minutes - you'll get 8-12 occupied escape pods from each one. You will also get a lot of engineering materials. You need a lot of fire power since the Belugas will attempt to jump away and have to be destroyed quickly.

To get 77 Ly is a bit pointless when when you can’t boost or take an SRV with you, so then is not really an explorer build. Rename it ‘Colonia shuttle’ build and you have a point. For 74.5 Ly you can have shields, boost and an SRV to collect materials.

I was curious how far a fully functional AspX can go in one jump, without compromising its performance as a deep space explorer. I managed to get a max 76.62 Ly which gives 74.88 Ly when fueled up without the SRV and hangar to make the Colonia crossing in under 280 jumps without messing around with the Neutron highway (btw the hull integrity drops by about 6% during the crosssing so on that basis it will do 4666 jumps before having to dock for hull repairs). A size 4 fuel tank is sufficient with a 5A or 6A fuel scoop (as long as the OBAFKGM stars only are included in the plotting). With SRV on board my max is 75.44 Ly (73.36 Ly fueled up) . A pre-engineered FSD with mass manager (farseer experimental) gives a slightly longer jump than an FSD you engineer yourself. I use a 3D shield generator with lvl5 low power consumption , a 3A powerplant with lvl 4 overcharge , 4A thrusters lvl 5 clean drive and stripped down, 4D life support lvl 5 lightweight, 5D scanners lvl 5 lightweight and 3D power distributor engineered with lvl 4 Engine focus. I can still boost whenever, if necessary, and have reasonable shields if i take a heavy landing or bump something. The Asp can also evade interdiction 100% of the time too. Dirty drive tuning might extend the jump range but at this point we're probably talking fractions.

You can get away with using a 2a powerplant on the aspx if you would just turn of the afmu if i need it myself i switch off guardian fsd booster and use the afmu like that

Top tip- you can put you composition scanner on a fire group, that way to have an accurate target site to aim prospectors. Really you want to mine platinum, it sells for more, mines much faster and there are 2 double hot spots in the bubble (Omicron Capricorni B, and Col 285 Sector KM-V d2-106), and even a triple 980ly from Sol (Parrot's Head Sector EL-Y d83). Great content subbed! Before I had my FC, I used to store my fuel scoop and FSD booster at the closest station to the mine site and replace with collectors. (as you really want 3 collectors per class 2 mining laser) In this build you could have switched the 3A collector in the class 4 spot with your class 3 refinery so you could use a class 4 refinery with no penalties and you get 2 extra storage in refinery :) o7

the pulse wave analyser does not detect asteroids that contain better contents but it shows asteroids that have surface deposits that can be blow off with abrasion blasters or asteroids that can be blow up also known as deep core astroids

You consider that a fix??? lol that is not a fix, it is just how it works lmao. But what if you dont have space to place it? what if the dust devil appear right in the middle of your colony (that apparently happens a lot for reasons i dont understand)? this is just another idiotic mechanic, that will force you to fill your base with landpads and waste rock deposits. Sadly many of us like to have a clean colony without unnecesary and useless things around, and this makes that impossible to achieve, ruining the entire gameplay. Dust devils should appear at least one sector away from your colony, not right in the middle. Ridiculous. But since the devs never cared for this game since two years ago, its time to say goodbye and not buying another paradox game ever again. I myself quit playing this past year because of this.

Nice build. I would go with 6A fuel scoop though since the only danger when flying this ship is when fuel scooping so why not get the biggest and best to minimize as much as possible that risk. The two empty slots why not fsd flight assist and auto maintenance bot?

Cheers for that and the Sub. If you check out my video "Going to Colonia using the Neutron highway" I have an Asp Explorer that has been heavily engineered and has an AFMU and a 6A fuel scoop. This ship has over 70ly jump range without Neutron star supercharging. With the build in this video I have only done minimal engineering ie. the Human tech engineered FSD and the Guardian FSD booster. I wouldn`t be able to fit a 6A fuel scoop and an AFMU without having to fit a larger power plant which would then drop the FSD range down to less than 70ly.

I've been intouch with FDev...I pointed out this sort of broken gameplay (that they introduced!) shouldn't need millions of upvotes on their awful issue tracker. Clearly designed to give them the reason to ignore complaints because "...no one has upvoted your issue" I asked if there was any updates regarding a fix, they said they have nothing to report....NOTHING TO REPORT??? These people are absolute clowns! I pointed out surely the speed at which they broke it, shouldn't need a major fix to repair this? Honestly this game is on it's arse, Horizons worked fine until they started to micro update the game with 'Odyssey' compatibility fixes...it's like they are saying there's that many issues in Odyssey, lets patch in those bugs into Horizons to piss the people off who haven't upgraded to Odyssey... In fact what is Odyssey doing in a game like Elite. I for one never wanted any on-foot gameplay, this isn't what "Elite" is about for me. It's a space game, with space ships. If anything, they only needed to strengthen the ship vs planetary bases combat. Bring back our ability to attack base defences from our ships to clear the way for our SRV's to drop in and do SRV stuff, no need for this exobiology BS, I'll play NMS for that.

Man... I've just come back from a 1 year break from E:D just to notice that one of the most important BASIC things doesn't work anymore. Then I look it up on google and realise this started happening since roughly November 2021. Now February 19th 2022 and it still doesn't work... Frontier really doesn't give 2 fucks about this game anymore. I seriously don't know what to say about this anymore...

I may be wrong here, but the reason why you thought you could engineer the FSD at the Engineer to a grade 5 range boost is because the Tech Broker grade 5 FSD isn't a range based upgrade - the Tech Broker version is a grade 5 FAST BOOT FSD, not a range boost (looking at what the text said at the Tech Broker, then looking at the engineering page at the Engineer) So it's either one or the other, as you'll probably know that you can only have one engineering mod per module. For comparisons, My ASPX with only a G4 Range Boost /w Deep Charge FSD and a 5H Guardian FSD Booster does 64.07ly
