There is a lot to complain about in boxing. Promoters not wanting to spoil Beterbiev vs Bivol is not unreasonable. It's also easier to get a relatively unknown fighter to fight on short notice. Even if he loses by points but has a decent showing against Bivol that might be a good way to get his name out there.

I'd be amazed if Fury even gets to the rematch let alone is good enough to stop Usyk. I predict Fury will say he wants a rematch for months and then duck out closer to the time, i don't think he'll train as hard for it, this loss will slowly eat away at him because he's quite an unstable personality.

This. Fury is talking a load of old pony now, but how can anyone look at the state of him in the 9th round and say that man won that fight? It wasn't even a lucky punch either, Usyk walked him down and applied constant pressure for 9 rounds and hit him with that looping right multiple times. Usyk just beat the man in every way. Yeah, Fury had a bust of energy in the middle rounds (Everyone does against Usyk), but eventually couldn't handle the constant pressure Usyk always applies. Fury in the end did no better than AJ or anyone else. He just lost to a better man.
