I called bullshit on this. It takes monumental strength to get the new one to go in both holes. You just basically showed people how to put a nut on a threaded stud. Totally useless video. That’s like 5% of the job. The other 95% is fighting to get both studs to go in their respective holes .How about show them how to actually get the damn thing on there without inviting the Incredible Hulk over to pull on the swaybar for you.

What codes were you getting on your truck to make you want to change the lift pump?
@UintaGarage
@UintaGarage Ай бұрын
No codes. The LMLs don't have lift pumps from the factory. It's a preventive upgrade to help the time bomb cp4 last longer and improve efficiency.

It’s a good idea to put some oil on the wheel bearings. Gear oil doesn’t get out unless you tilt the axle house.

How much play will this eliminate? Is it worth doing without also installing a new steering box?
@UintaGarage
@UintaGarage 3 ай бұрын
On all the vehicles we have done this on we also replaced the steering column bearings that were shot between that bearing and this steering shift the steering was significantly tighter and more responsive feeling.

FYI, Tank does not have to come out to install the fuel pump, goes right in from the top with a little funny spinning as it goes in.

I saw the Jeep steering shafts on the table. Why didn't you use that one? I just watched videos about it. I have a 95 k3500 with the old rag joint. The "Jeep Cherokee XJ shaft swap" you dont have to cut it.

Since I have the 1995 k3500 everything I've been looking at so far shows me that I can't use the XJ shaft on my truck I guess something changed in the 95 and up. I'm not sure what the difference is but a 93 and the '95 rag joints look the same so I don't know why I can't do the swap in my truck hopefully your video comes up soon cuz I'm looking for a cheap option that I can do for my truck@@UintaGarage

Of course it not. It's just a bigger reservoir. You should upgrade all the brake lines and probably get a proportioning valve.

how did you set your pinion depth you never showed that and that is the most important part to this build ..???
@UintaGarage
@UintaGarage 4 ай бұрын
You’re right we did seem to miss that. The pinion has a shims that you add between the bolted surfaces. We took the measurement of the stack we took out and it happened to be right for the new gears.

For anyone watching, keep in mind brake fluid takes off paint so protect areas that are 'pretty' if you have them
