Both times Michael fought Simon were great. He was one of the few adversaries that I thought might actually be able to take Michael down, and the stakes in both situations were high. Great tension.

See I always read those scenes as Michael being above Simon's skill level but having to hold back for whatever tactical objective was at stake. This was where Simon ran out of things to hide behind thinking his cover would actually protect him from Michael. And this time it didn't.

People that have never seen this series might be at a massive disadvantage . Just know Simon Escher was a person that almost blew up Miami . One can only deal with a terrorist or an insane person for so long . Final scene with this bastard

When you think about it, Mike turning traitor because of Simon makes perfect sense. His original burn notice was for Simon's crimes. He threatened to bomb a hotel, and just killed a prisoner for no reason. And it's Mike they are putting the squeeze to?

Back then these espionage tv shows were really really really cut for time and the budgets weren’t all that big so trying to get a fight sequence down and shot perfectly was just a few layers too much to do accurately since onset time was restricted 🚫

Would've been perfect with 'Leverage' and possibly even a one-time special with 'Miami Vice' where a retired Crockett and Tubbs are lured back to Miami after an old case resurfaces and threatens their lives, and they eventually come to Michael Westen for help. Could've worked, in my opinion.

I might be the minority, but I still wish this was Larry instead of Simon. Larry has a history of surviving certain death, and Larry has a much more personal attachment to Michael. I just think it would have been better. But this still works great.

While that would be cool, Simon did everything blamed on Michael. As a result Michael was burned, lost his brother, and had to lose Fiona in order to prevent everyone from spending the rest of their lives in a hole. Up until this scene Michael believed in the CIA, even when card betrayed him he still believed. He knew people can be corrupt but Simon being released is the only thing that could have broken his faith in the institution

Larry had a fixation on Michael... Michael's only fixation on Larry, was his morphing into Larry if they spent too much time together. Simon... Simon actually effed Michael's life up... even if sort of by proxy. And Simon's words "Just like me" haunted Michael.

I'm sick of getting chaos reached by iron banner sweats I think I'll play some pve Edit: something like this just happened to me yesterday! Except instead of an abomination it was a wyvern that suddenly fired a dozen void blasts in like 1 second and killed me instantly.
