I like how the traffic on Oak Street south has a yield sign but nobody yields, not even to the fire rescue truck. No one ever yielded there and it was very bothersome trying to go to 9 West from Oak North. Moot point today as the new intersection is in full swing. Getting to the car wash is a little different now as you have to head on Oak South and take a right on to the dead end Rhode Island Ave. It may get tough to exit the car wash when it is very busy now as you have to cross Southbound Oak Street traffic to head North on Oak. Time will tell.

What is going on with this intersection - I never see any work being done! It is nothing but an eyesore right now. When will work resume and be completed??

Wow , Thanks for posting. I lived just off Oak St and Border Road for over 20 years and wasted so much time transiting this intersection. When I moved away ( 18 months ago) they were starting work on the realignment. It looks the same now as it did back then, a complete clustercuss. I'm wondering has the Marion Street Bridge reopened?
