I actually really liked Velanna. She's no Sigrun, but still. Also really like Carver's friendship path. Even in the Templars, he's looking out for you (and it felt very fitting for my pro-Templar mage). Also, while the Anders character shift in DA2 gets a lot of attention (for good reason), I was also really unhappy with Merrill's character shift. Sure, her presence in DAO was much smaller, but I liked what we saw of her in 1. And then they replaced it with naive, shy blood mage with a demon fetish (seriously, she's mad any time you refuse a demon bargain, even just *refusing to let Feynriel get possessed*). She has lots of adorable moments that almost disarm me, but then her giant red flags pop up again and I'm more mad at her for seeming so innocent and sweet. She did still wrap Alo around her finger though. Yeah... those two are why my pro-Templar run is a mage. I can't imagine anyone but the most staunchly pro-mage freedom Hawke being comfortable with either of them.

This song, the opening mission with papa Ryder, are the best part of the game. Most of it was crap. But this, is wonderful.

I loved the original trilogy, and played Andromeda years after release. I really enjoyed this game as well. I really home the two stories can come together somehow to where the choices you made in both story lines have consequences.

I used to LOVE Vivian when I was younger playing this, but as an adult we clashed immediately. I find her insufferable and every banter that I used to find charming, I find pretentious and it just makes me wanna take everything from her. Lol

Fun fact: After the Geth defeated Quarians during Morning War, they destroyed their creators' entire 'civilization' of virtual intelligences based on their creators' ancestors out of fear they from ougmentation or evolution into true sapience could quickly conquer or destroy the Geth (an exactly same reason why quarians tried to destroy the Geth in the first place).

This game had it rough. Buggy release that finally was fixed. The game is very enjoyable, and if you treat it as a stand alone title, it is great now. The issue this game had i feel is it had to live up to the expectation that was set by what may be the best game trilogy ever.

I gave this game another shot and I just could not stomach the busy work or the facial animations. Shame because the voice acting is good and the premise is great the execution is poop. It feels less than the trilogy somehow despite it being 5 years after ME 3 development

I know I’m gonna see Carver here. Look he’s my boy. Love that character arc. Carver and Hawke going on friendship path with warden storyline is so by old. Carver learns to stop hating the shadow his brother casts, acknowledges mistreating his brother, and finds himself, his own group, and a place where he is just himself. Not his namesake, and not his brother. Friendship route Warden Carver and Purple Mage Hawke is the best. I also just love his “brothers Hawke” line. I always to Fenris romance too btw.

As much as I think biotics are cool and can handle crowd control I've always got to go with my tech powers. Because I'm going up against baddies with shields and armor i can't see myself winning this game without it. Here's what I have so far: Engineer profile - Remnant VI, Energy Drain, and Overload or Incinerate. Infiltrator profile - Barricade, Tactical Cloak, and Energy drain with a profession in smiper rifles, i usually use the vanquisher. And for my sentinel he's a little like the Vanguard but with tech armor. Anyway his load out is Annihilation, Energy drain, and Charge with a profession in shot guns, I'm still trying to get the N7 paranah. But that's what I have so far.

This is probably the best part of the game...

Fenris? Solas???? NO. See, you have to ROMANCE these guys and THEN you realize why they are genius characters. Nobody talks crap about Solas. He's the man. Except that he pumped and dumped my Inquisitor.

Having just finished the game again I feel that's a bit of an unfair bag on Sera, imo she does alot to keep the inquisitor grounded, while everyone else is making a big deal out of you and your title, Sera doesn't give a shit, and makes sure you know it, which does alot to keep the inquisitor from turning into an insane ego maniac, again, just my takeaway from my most recent playthrough

So...i cant hate loghain because he sent crow assassins agter my character??? My hero is still alive because i won that fight and i know the story because the assassin lived long enough to tell me. Yeah...hiring assassins??? Seems like he might need some immunity to survive that action.
