Sean Kelly is right up there with the best lyricist ever. His songs have so much meaning and he plays his lady bright and clear. His music will be reinvested by himself only. A true sign of a incredible artist. Sean you’re one of my living heroes so there’s that. I hear your tunes in many other collaborations. You’re a beautiful soul. Thx guys

Who's on the ivories? Damn! And why aren't those people out of their chairs!? Ha! Great performance and recording of one of their best and most heart-touching ballads. Love you #TheSamples

A great lyric about the inevitability of change. Change is not only good and not only bad, but it is the only constant in life. To think of the past is how we learn, how we laugh, how we mourn, how we smile, cry and love. It’s how we dream. A static world is a dark world.

I don't know what it is about this song. Every time I hear it, the hairs on the back of my neck stand on edge. It's like beautiful gut-punch of emotions. This live recording is fantastic, @Ben Loshin. Thank you.

One of the better written Samples songs. A lot of their lyrics are kinda weird but the music makes up for those silly lyrics. These guys were at their best in the 90’s but after everyone but Sean Kelly left their lineup has changed numerous times. Some for the better some not so. I look forward to hearing new music from them but a lot of their releases have been a rehash of their older songs restructured and repeated. Regardless the Samples have created some really great music.

Another "live" one and isn't it live!!! He's in Australia, but I can never ever get to see him. I'd love to have a membership card to his fan club, but that Facebook thing has me stumped, time and time again I've tried. I'm the VERY older generation. Thanks for making an old lady feel young again Conrad

I've heard Conrad sing both these songs in the studio, but this is my first time "live". He's just so fabulously fabulous. I want to take him home with me! He kills it both ways.

One day you're famous and sitting on top of the world. The next day, you're playing yard parties. That's the music business, for ya.

Most of the long time fans are old now. I used to have long hair back at the beginning in Boulder, often taking acid at their shows and dancing endlessly. I am in my fifties now. Bold. Sober except for the occasional doobie. Times have changed. Or should I say time just flew by .... but still so much fun to listen.

Man, to me there is an entire world between straight and "loose straight" - and this is what everyone fails to emulate when playing Bonham-esque beats. Bonham had a swing in most of his beats, but he never swung as hard as "loose straight" demonstrated here.

It's natural to straighten out the subdivisions at faster tempos. Try listening to some uptempo swing music for reference.
