Thank you for the very eye-opening and all-encompassing overview of such important “cycles”, a lot can be recognized and learnt from your book! I’d be very curious to ask you whether you view the advent of ChatGPT & AI as a whole as the latest big-bang moment? All signs point to this considering the technological breakthrough it represents even though the “inputs” are far from cheap… Could you please elaborate your thoughts on this? Thank you in advance!

@carlotaprzperez

Brainwashed people here.... Do your own research and listen to non-Gov funded scientists... The world has been here for billions of years.... Has been much colder and much warmer before people and the industrial age...... Co2 is needed for LIFE on earth...... The elites want to control people in everyway... While they do what they want.... They said the world was ending since the 1970's.... The one's screaming the most said the world would end by 2010, 2016... and here we still are... FOLLOW THE GREEN MONEY..... The lady here is crazy and corrupt, she knows Gov is in partnership with Big Corp who are leading this Climate Crisis Craziness.... Who are involved with WEF & WHO & UN & attend the Davos meeting flying their private jets, over 200 jets.... 15 min cities coming to you.... in 2016 or 2018 NASA satellites showed that the earth was 30% greener then 30 yrs ago. Much more polar bears now. The great barrier reef is larger and in better shape then many years ago..... WAKE UP PEOPLE....... DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH....... BEFORE they lock us up in 15min cities, while they do what and where they want.

In those last 240 years what we have is the environment on its last breath, overpopulation, 80% of the wealth in the top 1% of people (in the US), both parents working and in debt because wages have continuously DECREASED - with a credit economy popping up to mask the reality of not being able to afford a house or a car anymore. This lady preaching the coming 'golden age' sounds like some fool preaching the return of Jesus. Extremely naive and/or insane presentation as usual.
@carlotaprzperez
@carlotaprzperez Жыл бұрын
Surely, the fact that so many people, including millions of blue collar workers, can now consider it normal to afford a house and a car is some progress from the abject poverty and the "satanic mills" of the early 19th century. And, yes, as I explain in the talk, as with previous technological revolutions, inequality increases at first and then is reversed. This has been the longest installation period in history. We still have a long way to go and a golden age is possible. Let's hope the free market economic thinking refusing to engage the state is finally defeated.

The recommendation laid out has a very faulty premise: the social engineering ideology is not a sustainable way to solve for the technical waste of human employment. It is not okay to have a technical mission that does not include the contribution of and preparation of the current and future generation. It is absurd to believe the subsidized & inflated green movement will sustain the future when it couldn't support itself. A better strategy would be to equip the populous as technology is developed through innovative teams on each board or organization with an experiment quota. This can be rewarded by tax credit that is already earmarked in block grants to city & state development.

@carlota Can you make a connection to wars and the turning points? We are seeing war times now, as well as WW2 around the last turning point. But maybe there is no such pattern?
@carlotaprzperez
@carlotaprzperez 2 жыл бұрын
No, Mats. I started out thinking that there would be a connection but could not find regularities. WWI happened at maturity, WWII at the Turning Point, the Korean War in early deployment, the VietNam war at maturity. And if we go back to the earlier revolutions, the revolutionary war in Europe happened in installation and the Napoleonic wars in deployment, as well as the Crimean war. The Boer war was in installation. It looks like wars do not respond to the regularities I study. Sorry that I only saw your comment a month later.

Sorry to disagree. Bitcoin, in my view, is just one more innovation of the ICT revolution that has been able to flourish thanks to the excess liquidity pumped into the financial markets by quantitative easing. Ironically, it is the central banks that have made its temporary success possible. Blockchain is a much more promising innovation, but still, not a revolution either.

Bitcoin is giving property rights to millions of people who live in poor countries. It’s truely scarce and can’t be debased. The wealth creation from the 50s golden age came from individual ownership of a relatively scare asset (real estate). With Bitcoin, anyone around the globe can have ownership of a scare asset.

Perez's theory is interesting, but she mixes her progressive values into the model. Very difficult to determine what is factual and what is her wishful thinking. She deos not need to mention evil Putin. Sadly, when I listen to her she seems quite flaky and preachy. I loved reading her book, but she seems to have been working in isolation. Burniske has a hammer and he wants to hammer. He does not not listen and engage with what Perez is saying. He is just asking a set of questions. Lots of interesting material is just wasted by the lack of follow up. Burniske seems to know a lot but he has the body movements of a weed smoker
