Yup, I see so many comments on people that buy a generator but do not even try to use it till a power outage happens, and then have some issue and can't use it. I am overly attentive to it. When I got mine (Westinghouse 11500 tri-fuel unit), I removed the drain plug and installed a magnetic one, and also changed the spark plug and used a small (0.22) gap since it will be only run on propane or natural gas. Added oil and ran it for 1 hour with no load on propane (NG line is not completed yet) and did a drain and fill on the oil. I ran it for another 2 hours, adding load as it ran (was only able to load it to 3500 watts with a hair dryer, space heater, and a heat gun). Did another drain and fill on the oil, and unbonded the generator. I then hooked it up to my 50 amp transfer switch and ran my full house for 2 hours (minus the A/C). I left it running another hour with my A/C running to verify it works (it does). I then changed the oil a final time and put it into storage for when needed (with a trickle charger on it to make sure battery is good to go when needed). Once I get my NG line hooked up (should be within the week), I will do a whole house test again for half a day or so.

Our 5-6 yr old chairs are still in excellent shape, except one has a one broken zipper. Our oldest Tommy Bahama chairs are 9 years old; the zippers are kinda rusted now and a couple of the handles have torn off. So I would say they have held up pretty well, considering we use them year-round, as we live near the beach and go frequently. I'd go with a Tommy Bahama umbrella as well. We had another brand that wasn't strong and just didn't last, so we ended up going with the brand we trusted, and it is doing much better. We recently got this OutdoorMaster beach cabana, and now that is our go-to "umbrella" to take to the beach. It really is basically an umbrella, and just as easy to put up and lightweight to carry, but larger and more stable. Hi Deb, tap is fine. I recommend completely emptying the reservoir each time you use it...run it 2-3 seconds after that to get that last bit of water out. It helps not to have water sitting there between uses. Then periodically, when you find mineral build up, run through it a mixture of 1-2 TBS of vinegar mixed in 16 oz of water. The tips can be disinfected by putting in a glass of a mixture of 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 2 parts water. Hope this helps! ☺
