More relevant question: Will Star Citizen sell a complete game or just keep milking cash out of people for an alpha release with no significant game features? Multiple _successful_ games that do what Star Citizen originally actually promised to do have already released to the public in the intervening 10+ years since it was announced. Time to s*** or get off the pot.

You do understand what an alpha game is right? If you don't then this should hopefully make it easier for you to understand: _Alpha is a standard term to denote a milestone release during production in which game functionality is all included (but bug-ridden and not optimised), game content is largely represented (but may require polish), and which is considered sound enough for deep testing._ Also, lets not forget about the Intel CPU problem that has been clearly reported and is a cause of the bugs many are getting in game due to those using it.

Hello Games wouldnt dare make the mistake of showing anything that wouldn't be in the game. They would not risk getting that backlash after No Mans Sky. Their trailers are never "scripted". They might choose a particular place to show off features, but what you see is what you get when it comes to their trailers.

@@mufasafalldown8401 I'm sure the location selection and what the players were doing were scripted, but the mechanics and gameplay were not. If you go to LNF's website, a screenshot of them carrying the wood is on the page. They wouldnt tease this if these mechanics weren't going to be in the game. The backlash from "false advertising" is not a mistake they would make after the fallout of the NMS release. If they thought the feature might not make it to full release, they wouldnt tease it. So, again, what you see is what you get.

Yes, thank you. Don't agree ref boats. In NMS, unless changed, you cannot save whilst swimming or flying, unless encountering an activity of some sort. The world of LNF is to be huge, large seas therefore expected. It would do no good to be flying over sea and unable to save at any time, whereby the boat may act as a platform upon which to save. But it is all speculation. Well done on the vid.

Whether you’re braving the wilds alone or with a team, mastering the art of survival without drawing attention to yourself is key. Today, we’re going to arm you with the essential tips and tricks to not only survive but thrive in this unforgiving world." *[Cut to game logo animation]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "So, grab your gear, stay low, and let’s dive into the darkness." --- **[SECTION 1: UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD - **0:30**]** *[Background shifts to gameplay footage showing a dark, eerie forest with minimal light]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "In Light No Fire, the world is your enemy as much as it is your ally. The dynamic weather system and day-night cycle can drastically change your survival odds. During the day, the world is less hostile but still filled with dangers lurking in the shadows. Nightfall, however, is when the real terror begins." *[Cut to footage of the night, with ominous sounds and barely visible creatures]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Tip number one: Always be aware of your surroundings. Use the environment to your advantage. Tall grass can provide cover, trees can block line of sight, and rivers can mask your scent from predators. But remember-what hides you can also hide something else." *[Clip shows a player sneaking through tall grass, barely avoiding a creature]* --- **[SECTION 2: RESOURCE MANAGEMENT - **1:30**]** *[Background shifts to footage of a player gathering resources like wood, berries, and crafting materials]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Tip number two: Resource management is the heart of your survival. Unlike other survival games, in Light No Fire, every item has weight, and overburdening yourself can slow you down-making you an easy target." *[Cut to inventory management screen, showing weight limits and item categorization]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Prioritize what you carry. Essential items like food, water, and medical supplies should always be your top priority. Crafting materials are important, but remember-you can’t craft when you’re dead." *[Clip of a player dropping unnecessary items to make space for food and water]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Speaking of food and water, pay close attention to your hunger and thirst meters. Consuming raw food or contaminated water might stave off hunger or thirst, but it comes with risks. Cooked food is safer but draws attention, so find the balance." *[Clip shows a player cooking food, but quickly dousing the fire as creatures approach]* --- **[SECTION 3: STEALTH AND SURVIVAL - **2:30**]** *[Background shifts to footage of a player moving stealthily through a dimly lit area, avoiding enemies]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Tip number three: Stealth is your best friend. Running into combat headfirst is a surefire way to meet a quick end. In Light No Fire, avoiding conflict is often the smarter choice." *[Cut to footage of a player using distractions to lure enemies away]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Use distractions like throwing rocks or setting off traps to mislead enemies. Pay attention to sound-your footsteps, breaking branches, or even a cough can alert nearby threats. Crouch-walking and sticking to soft ground can help you move more quietly." *[Clip shows a player silently taking down an enemy from behind]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "If you must engage, do so strategically. The game’s combat system rewards patience and precision. Aim for weak spots, and make every hit count-ammo and durability are limited." *[Cut to a player using a bow and arrow, taking out an enemy with a precise shot to the head]* --- **[SECTION 4: TEAMWORK AND STRATEGY - **4:00**]** *[Background shifts to footage of a group of players working together to take down a large creature]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Tip number four: If you’re playing with others, teamwork is essential. Light No Fire’s cooperative mode emphasizes coordination and strategy. Divide roles-have someone gather resources while others scout or set traps. Communication is key, especially when the unexpected happens." *[Clip of a player reviving a teammate while others fend off enemies]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Share resources, protect each other, and always have an escape plan. Remember-there’s no shame in retreating if it means living to fight another day." *[Cut to a group of players escaping through a hidden path after being overwhelmed]* --- **[SECTION 5: ADVANCED TIPS - **5:00**]** *[Background shifts to gameplay showing more advanced techniques and environments]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Now, for some advanced tips for those looking to master Light No Fire." *[Clip of a player using environmental hazards like a falling tree to crush enemies]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Tip number five: The environment is more than just a backdrop-it’s a tool. Use the weather to your advantage. Rain can mask your sound, fog can obscure vision, and wind can carry your scent away from predators." *[Clip of a player using fog to sneak past a group of enemies]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "Tip number six: Keep an eye on the behavior of wildlife. Animals in the game react to threats just like you would. If you see a deer or rabbit suddenly bolt, it might be a sign of something more dangerous nearby. Follow their lead-or prepare for a fight." *[Clip of a player noticing animals fleeing, followed by a large creature appearing in the distance]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "And finally, tip number seven: Experiment and adapt. The world of Light No Fire is dynamic and ever-changing. What worked once might not work again. Always be ready to switch up your tactics and think on your feet." *[Cut to various gameplay clips showing different strategies in action]* --- **[OUTRO - **6:30**]** *[Background music swells with a triumphant tone]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "And there you have it-your essential tips and tricks to survive the dark and dangerous world of Light No Fire. Whether you’re playing solo or with friends, remember that survival isn’t about being the strongest-it’s about being the smartest." *[Cut to game logo with a tagline: "Light No Fire - Survive the Night."]* **Narrator (V.O.):** "If you found these tips helpful, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit that notification bell for more in-depth guides, walkthroughs, and everything Light No Fire. Stay safe out there, survivors-until next time." *[Video fades out with the sound of wind howling]* --- **[END]**

So here goes my view and I am not disagreeing with you. Now I host a lot of survival games, and I feel that the only way this is possible in SC would be to do the following. 1 Land claims will be sold as "rentals" in game. for example, it will cost you "x" number of UEC in game to occupy a space and if not renewed be issued as a salvaging claim mission. 2 Hab modules will be sold in and outside of game, so you will own the module and rent the land. Here I will expand and give a short run down on why you will lease the land in game. Having hosted many survival games on dedicated servers, empty bases would be the largest reason for a server wipe (decay systems tend to bring their own problems). selling the land would mean that hat area will not be reclaimable by CIG and would lead to legal issues and renting the land to players will also keep base sizes under control. i.e. 20mx20m or per module cost 5000 AUEC per month. So, if your lease lapses by 3 months a salvage contract to your leased land will be available for salvagers. 3 Module sets is definitely going to be sold for real money but like everything else it will be acquirable in game for some grind. 4 If CIG sells land claims it would be a big mistake and will leave the servers with a lot of space that can never be used again.

To me, Star Citizen moving away from selling ships which give inherent advantages in game, to purely cosmetic items that are often rare and super desirable to players, such as hab related, is a viable and welcome change to the game. If Star Citizen ever becomes pay to win, like the F8C when it was stupidly over powered AND only available with cash, that’s a dangerous path that will kill the game long term in my opinion. Huge numbers of players would happily pay for great base cosmetics you can’t get in game and are limited edition / series they can even trade on a secondary market that RSI run. But this idea they’ll never stop making new ships is a problem for me unless they too just become cosmetic / brand variants on others and are not more powerful in any way, and of course can all be obtained in game without too much hassle. Just no super powered stuff like weapons. To be clear, I do NOT believe the new habs will be purchase only in game, I think you’ll be able to earn same as ships, or fast track for convenience and insurance and buy via the pledge store. However I think cosmetic items to go within them, or specific modules like a water feature and sun deck roof terrace for example, will be purchase only / rare and you want them, pay or not. That’s fine by me, same as you can only get ultra rare ships like the Carrack 2950 BIs and Valkyrie Liberator Edition via cash.

If they sell it will be for safe systems as then they won't need to worry about it being taken and there being issues, as certain countries won't allow an item over x cost to be taken from the purchaser. So maybe in Stanton, but not in Pyro, in Pyro it will be a ship to build bases and run with it, which is why I think the Galaxy was in the coming soon ships last citizen con, they intend to drop the galaxy with base building, but it, like the Legionaire are not going to make it before citizen con this year.
