I was a hardcore Canucks fan for this run. The Burrows goal single-handedly made me a fan of them. But after many years of not wanting to admit it, I now have to say, Boston deserved it way more. Vancouver showed up asleep to the Final, and Boston took advantage of them in every aspect. This was Canada's prime chance to win a Cup, yet those Canucks were never close to sealing the deal. I truly don't think any Canadian team will get a Cup for the foreseeable future.

When I compare this team to our team in 2024, I have almost no faith. Last year, with Bergeron retiring and the return of Krejci, we destroyed the entire league, only to have an idiot coach play an injured goalie for 3 games in a row, until finally putting Swayman (who is the better goalie of the pair) in for game 7, but had no offense to help him. That was our year, we had all the tools to win the cup, by far. This year, we are half the team we were last year, with only one player left from this championship team - Marchand. We have a bunch of rookies and has-been's. We are so screwed for not just this year, but for the next couple seasons at least, because we lack the coaching, and the players needed to make a deep run. It took 40 years for this 2011 team to finally end a losing streak, and we are only at 13 years... I'll be dead and gone - or at best, retired and old as shit if this team ever wins the cup again. At least I'll have this video to go back and watch every few yeas to remind myself that we actually did win a cup once in my freaking lifetime.
