2023 AT4X 1500 - Dislikes 1) cup holders on right only 2) no rear door handle lock buttons (2019 did) 3) signal light selector is clunky 4) side mirror obstacle sensors glitchy sometimes 5) flex gate audio system was picking up my phone while driving a few times 6) glove box button is clunky 7) I had to get message seat fixed under warranty 8) button over center storage area get hit, he is bang on, it’s a stupid placement Our shop truck 2024 Chevy 2500 LTZ has the center buttons fix, but it’s set up a little different. Otherwise GMC is a great truck, these dislikes are not a big deal, but would like them to fix them on future models. Some of them at least.

way Way WAY too much technology! Creating a computer on wheels that feels like your in your living room is absolute nonsense!! Sorry but I'm a KISS (keep it simple stupid) principle kind of guy. Looks like lots of fun and giggles but wait till the electronics decide to go loopy - high cost and aggravation would be an understatement. The more moving parts and electronics - the more potential for aggravation, needless complications, and high maintenance costs - its just common sense. In a nutshell this is a mommy truck or certainly a truck for the fat-sty latte datty affluent Mercedes crowd that need to be pampered. If GMC still offers a good work truck with a few common sense practical perks I may give it a shot at some point. But absolutely no mommy or computer on wheel trucks for me. And if I want the comfort of my living room all I gotta do is go home.

The max tow package adds helper springs, drove both and no difference in ride. The helper springs do nothing until needed since they aren’t part of the spring pack.

Great review, my take is that iPhone and iA has made the human mind to become less intelligence than a monkey. When people drive, they must pay attention to their driving and should not need these features that just cost more when they brake. I own an FJ Cruiser and think people are becoming super lazy when it comes to such features, unless they always fly First Class, not even Business Class. LOL

I have one. I do not like the seatbelts. They do not swivel and are a pain to manage each time. They also feel cheap. Subarus have a much better setup. Very annoying .

Glad you mentioned the seats man. I sold my 2020 Denali 2500 Duramax because the seats were rock hard and too small.

I have a 2017 RX450h F sport V6, I was going to up date to RX500h but when I learned it was coming out in only 4cly engine I changed my mind. If Lexus have the V6 as an option I would buy one today but they don't, so I will be waiting for a decent full electric car with a long distance battery. Great video shame about the V6 been discontinued, lost to Lexus they are losing customers over their silly decisions. If I can afford to buy Lexus, I am not worried about fuel consumption that is the least of my worries.

My GMC Sierra is getting its valve lifter oil manifold seal replaced, just got a new oil pan, and next up is rear main seal. 147,000 miles. Hope your truck lasts a little longer.

The rear view cameras are like HD vision, front and back, and top. BUT the sides cameras near tyres and blind spots are like 15:40 VGA cameras. Very bad quality. 3. When a vehicle is on blind spot, it blinks in mirrors. Do we have an option for a sound alert when turning?

No sound from the radio, from the blinkers when they're on and resetting it doesn't work. Have you not had this issue at all w/ your Ultimate? Thanks again for your review.

$80K++ including T&L, plus extended warranty, etc.? Not for a car with a whiney 2.4L 4 cylinder engine. Ridiculous! Put the tried-and-true Lexus/Toyota V6 engine in it, and then I would consider it - IF I felt a need to replace my wonderful 2022 RX450H, which does have that wonderful bullet-proof 6. 😍

Is the gas engine the tiny 4cylinder or the 3.5L 6 cylinder?

Does your tailgate power up as well. i can let mine down and raise from inside the truck also i can lift the tailgate partially and it will raise itself.

Nobody can say there's things you can't do because your truck has a multipro tailgate, only things it CAN DO because of the tailgate. I'll always choose the option that allows me to do more, not less. Haters will be haters,unfortunately, life doesn't have the option to not have them. Water off a ducks back, enjoy!

My truck is also approximately 18 months old. 2500 HD Denali. The AC has randomly failed since day one. It would usually do it an hour into a trip. The dealership could not replicate it if course and all tests passed. The outside piping would freeze and then everything stopped. I finally got it to fail and drove it to the dealership to prove it. They kept it 3 weeks but told me they didnt know how to fix it. I had to open a case with GMC management. 6 months after that they replaced a part and called it fixed. The same week it failed again. I would take pictures of the frozen pipes each time. 2 months later they replaced the condenser, compressor,and evaporator. They had it 4 weeks. Its been 18 months now. Its winter so I dont know if it is fixed. I love my truck. I hate GMC. Nightmare.

I do see locally an almost new RX500h for significantly cheaper private party, but am worried about the bolstered seats and them being too aggressive or tight as I am a larger guy. My hubby and I are in the market for a HD series and letting go of our 10+ yr old suburban (that’s served us well) this ultimate is slightly more than we want/can spend, but highly considering the AT4 trim. I pull a 18’ enclosed trailer virtually every day. I’ve heard that the fuel mileage has dropped significantly from 23 to 24. What’s your opinion about that? I’m considering making the switch. I know fuel economy isn’t priority but because it’s daily pulling, I’m curious. My 17 f350 gets 10-12. The truck has a flatbed….the flatbed kills the economy
