This video is fairly accurate but the images of white business people in Northview Heights are hilarious. You should add Troy Hill it is mostly popular for its fentanyl and meth.

The white people act funky out here. They either act afraid and won’t look U in the eye or are overly friendly here, “hey, meet my wife! Isn’t she f*kable? Not saying U would, but U could if U wanted to. I like black people!” I’m not a local so I trip on their behavior. It’s a beautiful city though. Hahahaha!🤦🏾‍♂️

Wow, looks like Bridgeville has come up in the world since the 60's and 70's when my aunt and uncle lived there. Back then it was the kind of place people wanted to move away from. My brother and his wife lived in Dormont right off West Liberty avenue back in the 80's. We used to walk over and eat at the Palace Diner on West Liberty. But i kind of already knew the other 3 places would be on this list.

I'm thinking of retiring to Pittsburgh. Your videos are great but it would be helpful if you included a map of the areas you are discussing. Still very helpful. I'm leaning heavily toward a house in the Burgh landslides and flooding are concerns.

Thanks for the feedback! I do include maps in many of my videos, but you're right, I did not do it in this one. I will keep that in mind for future reference. :-) Landslides and flooding can definitely happen in some areas, but there are many areas where that is not a huge concern. Feel free to reach out privately if you want to discuss further!

South Hills is pretty safe if you have the money but I don't recommend Pittsburgh for a retiree, it is filthy and dangerous and you have to get on a highway for almost anything. Lots of shootings, lots of car theft, usual suspects. You might as well move to Bed Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

No it’s not. My parents neighborhood in Pittsburgh has basically never even had a crime. The worst thing that has happened in 25 years is some kids threw a party when their parents went on vacation and all kinds of stuff happened that like 7 cops responded and 15 people went to jail. Other than that literally no other crime has happened in decades. There has never been a shooting ever.

I grew up in what now is known as East Hills, about a block from the Wilkinsburg border.
