I am Derek Wrights armchair, I’ve been with Derek even before he bought Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight. I can guarantee that he has always done exceptionally on flights especially after a hangover. But this is by far one of his best ones!

This is a hidden youtube gem, so interesting. I'm looking through the lens of trying to find frameworks/concepts for solo digital projects since they seem to mirror tv segment production a fair bit. On a bit of a "what do producers do?" deep dive on my day off just out of curiosity. Thanks for taking the time to share your insights.

One of my favorite kurt russell movies was capitan ron. Kurt says to martin a deisel likes it oil like a saylor likes his rum. Martin asks , and why is that capitan ron? Kurt says well... No body knows. You had to have seen the movie.

Clearly, this was just a silly way to act like there is drama between them. Kurt is usually a competent actor, if not a great one, but it was too easy to see behind the curtain in this clip. Let’s be honest, no one could remain partners with Goldie Hahn (an angelic sweetheart of a woman from what I’ve seen) if you were petty enough to cast shade on prattprattpratt. Or… do you believe everyone in marvel hates Tom Holland? Nah…. It’s just marketing.

Only in Hollywood could you cloak a truth in a joke and avoid violating your movie contract. That's right, kids, actors say shit like "we all got along on set" to avoid "adversely affecting the movie" and getting screwed out of a paycheck. Every interview is a set piece, and every talking point agreed upon in advance.

I'm glad finding answers through your video to my questions. I have the 24mm lens and I'm about picking up the 6K Pro, this video makes me sees that the camera is good enough for the documentary I want to do. I'll use the 50mm along with it. Your video is lovely.

Did you start in unscripted from the beginning and did you Associate Produce before moving into Segment Producing?
@DerekWrightVideo3 жыл бұрын
Started doing hard news as a videographer. Yes, worked as a junior producer then became a segment producer but it was essentially the same job. Find stories, write it, get it turned around quickly.

It's so awesome going back to this after two years. I'd forgot about this comment, but this video really help me in my research. Since then I've associate produced for Travel Channel shows, which led me to my job now as a location producer on a Discovery Channel series. Ask and you shall receive, but put in the research and you shall exceed your expectations. I grew up in the 60s and saw everything Kurt did for Disney. Even as a youngster, he brought memorable characters to the films. No matter what character he played, it was based on some aspect of himself. Even when he went of the top (Escape from N Y, Big trouble in little china) he would nail the character perfectly. His character in "The Thing" was superb.
