Thank you! The cockpit I bought from scan in the UK it was at a good price t the time, and they threw something free in that I cant quite remember. The steering wheel I got off ebay second hand hardly used for 170 quid should be around 300. I bought the macro keys for 15.99 , instead of paying 150 for a button box . My pc was built out of the cheapest components i could find, a 60 pound maxsun mother board from china, I cant even remember the full spec, 6800xt 2nd hand at a bargain, 32 gb ram and a 50 quid corsair case. Ill try and do a proper list when i get the time, I will definitely be upgrading the wheel in the future though but i'm extremely content with what ive got and the experience I get from buying it, absolutely zero regrets! And it gave me a taster of if Im going to get into it more before I spend too much and not enjoy it... Im very pleased with it though and thats all that matters

I managed to drill some very fine holes into the frame after taking the inside battery out, I got the smallest size m nuts that were thick enough for good grip but not long enough to touch the inside battery, I drilled the holes out and then simply tightend them using the frame as the nut if that makes sense, I have also glued them in with super glue to make sure they don't shake loose from vibration, it's done a couple hundred miles like that now, took her off road a good bit, even a few small jumps here and there, and no problem.... Hope that helps!

@@jameshartley6486 its really easy you can buy xt60 doubles on one end while single on the other what ive done is connected xt60 in this way male female and used the female side to connect to the extra pins then on the controller side connect the wires in the correct pins run the wires out of the hole and were my 18ah battery is is on the crossbar the wires i ran i simply connected with standard xt60 to battery plastic case hieghtend the stem and put a wider handlebar on out new screen brakelevers thumb throttle finger and thumb gears which came from a older shimano setup,plug batterys out when i want as the power is much quicker but ive a simple switch totally different bike imho the more u get away from fiido parts the more the bike opens up ive m21 so i needed a controller to suit but the bike now can easily handle a 60volt controller thats not me over doing it i just got the true readings of the hub but check the pros the same motor otherwise thats how i sorted the extra battery 👍

Thanks! It's a 1500w controller I got with a 1500w hub upgrade, I've soldered the shunt to give it a bit more torque though, hoping to get a sinewave controller asap.

Hi, Ive had her for 13 months , ive found it extremely reliable, the times Ive had issues were down to either very rough riding, and leaving things unattended to when small that grow into bigger problems.... Ive done 1700 miles since about October on it. From april last year until october last year I done over 3000 miles and she is still going strong! Plus I lost count of many many miles with changing different displays , if that gives you a rough idea ... oh and I crashed on it at over 30mph ended up in hospital but she survives apart from the left handle bar was twisted and bent from the force of the collision Im extremely surprised by its durability, I also take it in to the countryside a lot! Slime all the way in thse tyres btw. I hope this info helps. I hear good things about the m21 upgrade version as it comes with real peddle assistance so it matches you one one and is reliable, where as the m1 pro version has magnet cadence sensors and they dont kick in straight away or kick in when you dont want them to, and you cant control your speed , only move at the set speeds, I will be looking to get this myself and install it! Ive done some upgrades though, change the seat, rear suspension , hydraulic brakes with ceramic pads, indicator break light set, bmx handle bars, extra 20ah battery and 1500w hub. SHes a little beast. You will see in some of my other vids how she fly's. Im building a 17.5ah battery pack the moment and it will be housed in a dp 9 case . I just need my bms to be delivered , so by at least the end of the month I should have another video up with my new upgrades

Besides the sensor difference do you still consider M21 better? To be honest with you what scares me a bit is their customer service and that’s why I asked if it is reliable. In case something is faulty if their customer service will respond and replace whatever needs to be fixed. Actually the parts that I am afraid in terms of longevity are motor, battery (actually all the electrical parts) and folding mechanism. Also did you replace all those parts by yourself? Handle bars, motor and battery and how much did they cost? Last thing I want ask you is if you tried to pedal without any assist, is it possible or it’s too heavy to pedal without assist

@@519achilles Its no problem at all, I appreciate your interest! I have had zero problems regarding customer service as I haven't had to use them thankfully, I needed to order one spare part which was the front fork, but that was due to installing the front wheel wrong and it wore out the drop out and the front axle. The fork came super quick and the newer ones are greatly improved so the dropouts should not wear, the drop out is where the wheel is bolted to the bike, apologies if you know this. It was an issue tracking down the right axle, but I found a 165mm mountain bike rear skewer works perfectly . The motor I used for a few months and had no problem with but hen bought a 1500w kit for 200 quid and got lucky with a discount. The battery cost me around 300-350 quid at the time. One thing I learned, if you are using 500w or more on any ebike, buy some torque arms for cheap off ebay, you will find because of the torque of the motor the axle will slowly eat into the rear dropout and will fly off, it happened to me with the 1500w, after researching i found out 500w or more should have them, plenty of vids on youtube on how to install and Ive a video on here showing them on the bike . The hydraulics cost 52 quid off ebay, they are very good, night and day compared to the standard brakes that came with it, in fact they are inadequate for this weight of bike and power, you notice how much when you change them and how quick you can break, essential imo. However part of the rear one needs to be ground off with a file, only takes a few minutes, when I change my ceramics Ill record a video with the make and where it needs filing. Worth it for the money. But if you dont mind spending a little extra there are probably some that fit no problem. The handlebars I bought for 10 20 quid and had to take the folding stem out and put a new one in, I cant remember the size out my head, but its in one of the comments in my videos. Ive had no problems with folding it , but its something I don't do often these days. If I was to do this again though, I would buy the basic m1 build and then do my upgrades and add the m21 torque sensor...... Now I can build batteries Id build my own and save a lot of money. My next mod though soon will be the torque sensor and put the original 500w hub in the front!, but at the moment im building a 17.5ah polly case battery and awaiting on a bms! Ill be posting updates. Btw You can also get these bikes shipped over from alibaba etc and save even more money, shipping is very quick these days and there are some good long standing companies on there with excellent customer service , Ive used them for other things and impressed, its just about looking how long they have been active and the reviews. Feel free to ask anything and if you browse through my vids which there are not that many some may have comments that help! Edit; the bike is a struggle to peddle comfortably imo and if you upgrade with a new hub , battery etc becomes impossible, especially up even the slightest hill.... I ran out of juice when i first got her about 6 miles out found out the hard way LMAO

Can you explain what did you do wrong? I am confused, you bought the fork from fiido and you couldn't find the right axle, so you bought a back axle from an 165mm MTB and used it as your front axle? Reasonable price I think. But still you replaced all those parts by yourself? Regarding the torque arms, which ones do you recommend for M21? What do you mean you can build your own batteries??? Is that possible??? How much many would you save? :O The fact that it's a struggle to peddle without any assist makes me a bit hesitant. When I was thinking of buying an ebike I was thinking that in case I would run out of battery I would b able to peddle, but anyway. If you don't mind what is your size and what mileage did your original battery and motor carry? I am 106kg so I think the mileage won't be that long. Right now I haven't found better price at alibaba and I live in Greece where I have to buy it from EU for two reasons. 1 no customs fees and 2 we have a 30%-40% funding for ebikes if we buy it from EU. @@519achilles Apologies! I never seen this, sometimes I miss notifications. Regarding the front wheel , I was a novice, it fits simple enough, I was just to eager and never set it up right, you would have no problem, I'm probably the only person to do this lol For the torque arms, they are about 5.99 gbp each or around 10gbp for a pack of 2. If you go on ebay and put torque arm in you will see them, its a few pieces of metal, nuts and washer etc and the identifiable part is the jubilee clip that is in the picture. You can only seem to buy a wheel with a axle included, I contacted fiido for an axle and couldn't find one, but if you ever need a replacement which you shouldn't I used the rear MTB one. Loads of guides on building batteries on youtube. Its not great for peddling tbh, however I cant even remember how the stock bike peddles and because of that wheel axle issue it had been slightly rubbing so had more resistance, so to be fair Im uncertain, the upgraded bike though is much heavier and definitely not good for peddling with no assist. At the time of using the 500w standard m1pro with 12,8 ah battery i was about 95kg. If you dont go hard with justthe throttle and use peddle assist she goes for a very long time. Ive done a 20 mile round trip with stock with lots of peddle assist and she still had plenty of power left and done it easily. How did you get on with looking at bikes? Thank you !
