Seems good in toxrill give the 3/3s to the person that’s before you in turn order so that they die by the time it gets to them

Tribute is such a good mechanic, but almost all of the cards WotC made with it are garbage. Almost always there is a clear choice that is always the better option. You only refuse tribute here if they topdecked the card. On the other hand, if multiple Tribute creatures had +1/+1 counter payoffs, then they would make the decisions are lot tougher. Add "Creatures you control with +1/+1 counters on them have Haste." Have another with "Creatures you control with +1/+1 counters on them have Vigilance, or Trample, or Menace, etc."

I’ve played this in John Irrenicus, Phenax, and in Umbris and it does work in all three. It’s a massive body that allows you to both curry favor from a specific player and split the threat with someone else at the table.

Imagine doing this combo just to get 5 lands in a row 😂😢

Cards like this are the bread and butter of my Lazav the Multifarious deck. If Lazav turns into it, etb effects don't happen, so no downside

Combo with ovika, enigma goliath. After a few turns you could play your whole deck by sacrificing the gremlins you make from casting for free

Y'know I saw this card and I genuinely couldn't think of any good ways to use tribute. You picking out Kylox here was pretty dang impressive.

Honestly, Tribute is such a cool mechanic that’s used shittily. On all the cards it’s on, they all either have a powerful effect it tribute isn’t paid, but are understatted so that tribute makes them on curve, or they’re on curve with such a weak tribute effect nobody will ever bother paying it

You could combo this with Lumra Bellow of the woods and that would be insane.

It takes a bit of doing, but i've seen Dimir blink decks that use this and Craft Cutpurse to swipe the tokens so you get 13 power for 4 or 5 mana.

I use it on a Kardur deck. It's also good on any goad deck

I run this in my Minthara deck. Since that deck is about buffing power my small little trampler can beat over for some real damage against my other opponents, while I have enough tiny white tokens to deal with a pair of 3/3's. And if it dies while swinging... *shrug*. Oh well, another trigger for my Commander to get an Experience Counter.

The original Bloodlust belongs in the conversation with Blood Frenzy. It's not as certain, but without the casting restriction it is more versatile.

I used it in my varolz infect/ voltron deck it was great

With the amount of stronger and stronger lands being printed, targeted land removal ahould not be looked down on. We dont want Armageddon, but blowing up someones Coffers shouldn't be considered salty

I play this in gitrog ravenous ride and it’s an MVP for sure. Not only do you have big fodder to sac but you also can politic the table for favors.

I had a Kardur, Doomscourge list once with this guy in it. Goad and forced combat doesnt work well if you're oppnents have no creatures.

Nothing forces graveyard hate or artifact removal quite like Shenanigans + Liquimetal Torque.

Vorelz, the scar striped is another good choice since you can scavenge the hunted horror in grave and give something 7 +1/+1 counters for 2 mana. Not quite as good as death's shadow giving 13 counters for 1, but still pretty sweet

When this card came out the Old legend rules were still in effect, if there where 2 copies of the same legend they would both be destroyed. This Card was in the same Standard Block as the Original Leyline of Singularity. Assuming you could get a t0 leyline this was just a 7/7 for 2

My set of red removal spells for creatures are these. Aftershocks from tempest Lava flow from portal Cinder cloud from mirage Fissure from 4th edition And some other that i cant remember off the top of my head.

Blue black with copy spells and "Gather Specimens" makes it very mean as well, though it is mana intensive.
