I recently had an experience that opened my eyes to the extent of counterfeit products in Pakistan. I was in the market for a high-end smartphone and found a deal that seemed too good to pass up. The phone had the same model number, design, packaging, and branding as the original, and was being sold at the same rate as the authentic item. However, after purchasing the phone, I decided to check its authenticity on the brand’s official website. To my dismay, the serial number and model were not recognized. It became clear that I had bought a replica, despite its convincing appearance. This experience underscored a harsh reality: in Pakistan, it's estimated that around 95% of such high-demand items are fake or replicas, made to look nearly identical to the originals. This prevalence of counterfeit goods makes it incredibly challenging for consumers to ensure they're getting genuine products. It's crucial to remain vigilant and utilize every possible method of verification before making significant purchases.
