I took the tang off. After I took it off I made sure the float could drop fully and open normally. Gravity holds it against the float tang. I have seen older carburetors without a hanger many times before.

Did you power both wires? Are the high beams just the added top LED or do the bottom 2 leds get brighter when high beams are on?
@grizzlymotomotorsports10292 ай бұрын
Yes high beams are only the top added LED it doesn’t get brighter if your connect both red and blue to power. It’s two separate wires for high and low because we can’t add more then our 12volt system operates on. A traditional bulb gets brighter because it has two filaments. So the one filament is supplied with 12 volts then the second filament is supplied with 12volt to make it brighter. It’s not a Baja light by any means. I was straight going for a sleek look with just enough light to get me out of a late night back home. I don’t do much night riding.

So I bought a new switch assembly and it still doesn’t start with the push button. What do you think ??
@grizzlymotomotorsports10293 ай бұрын
So do you have power on the Brown wire going into the switch? Do you have power going out of the switch on the black wire? If so go to your starter relay and check that you have ground on the black and yellow wire. Power on the white with red stripe wire, then you should have power on your black wire when you hit your start button. If you have those on the three wires at the starter relay then check if there’s power coming out of the main really to starter when you hit button and activate relay. If you have everything the relay needs but it won’t push power through then bad relay. If you have power going through to starter then bad starter.

Does that clogged sump feed the valve body or the top end? i have a 2011 i have to get into, clutch material flaked off...
@grizzlymotomotorsports10293 ай бұрын
I don’t think so but I can’t say for certain. The one I torn down was extremely clogged and no damage was done from lack of lubrication to the top end. The three different clutches have different oil pressure circuits. I’m assuming the top end has its own also but not sure if that is connected to the clogged sump. Even as a trained technician I would have the service manual by my side on this one.

@grizzlymotomotorsports10293 ай бұрын
First of all I apologize for the late response. I was moving my entire shop location. That is a very strange symptom. After doing the checks you have done I would also start to think the same thing. There should be a check engine light on so if there isn’t it must be mechanical or bad ecm.

This is the best explanation that I’ve seen. But I’m still wondering what keeps the one with the hole in it from turning because I can’t see what the slot in it slides into and why does it go in any way? I have had mine in and out about six times and the engine starts good but seems to run away every time but it will shut off with the fuel shut off
@grizzlymotomotorsports10297 ай бұрын
I want to do another video for you guys because I don’t think I can answer your question clearly. The groove of slot on the plunger slides into position in the fuel pump body with a little dowel locator in the body. I will post another video in a few days if you want to hold off for a bit
@jeeper99446 ай бұрын
He explained towards the end where he saw the pin fell out. The small pin aligns with the groove just below it and keeps it in place. Don't tilt the pump and lose that pin or you'll have a bad cylinder. GREAT VIDEO!!! Can't wait for grizzly to do a 4 cylinder with geared rack as well as when the rack is frozen where slide pin doesn't match engine opening. Stuck. There's the side fuel adjust secret 😉
