What a beautiful Celebration of Life for a man that was loved by all. I feel blessed to have known him and each and every family member. Ernell radiated the love of life and kindness to all mankind. He was a friend you could count on when you needed him. His love now shines brightly in each of his boy's lives. I cried as I placed each flower in the casket spray I made for him. Giving each flower special placement for the people who knew and loved him. It was an honor for me to work from my heart. To his family, please know that I love each and every one of you. We have shared many happy memories over the years and I thank you for the blessings you have shared with me and my beloved Chris.

Rest in peace in Christ. Amen

I am waching from Alabama, but my beautiful Church here has such poor acoustics, it is an echo chamber, so I cannot distinguish a single word. I am so happy that Mass is available online during this Covid pestilence. Thank you.

Wish someone would tell the congregation as Pope St John XXIII said after being applauded while arriving to a church outside of Rome, “I am very glad to have come here. But if I must express a wish, it is that in church you not shout out, that you not clap your hands, and that you not greet even the Pope, because ‘templum Dei, templum Dei.’ (‘The temple of God is the temple of God.’) . And then Pope Saint Pius X said, “It is not fitting that the servant should be applauded in his Master’s house.” I would love for a parish in Las Vegas to hold TLM with linked proper music...thoughts?

Yes that was so sad, Holy Angels was such a beautiful old church. Nothing modern about it, that’s for sure. I miss the beautiful statues, pillars, stations of the cross, the old organ. So many memories, I wonder if D’Youville College will take it over as they did with Holy Angels Grammar School. I had planned to go back to mass one last time, but Covid put an end to that.

I am from West Seneca, New York, parishioner at St John Vianney in Orchard Park, but grew up on the West Side- parishioner of Holy Angels Church. Someday I hope to meet a fellow Buffalonian in person. God willing!
