Ive lived in florida my entire life, SWFL to be a little more specific. my family managed to escape the same day hurricane ian hit, we barely had time to pack and we drove to my aunts home. it was terrifying but wasn’t as bad, i knew people had it worse than my family. when i returned home, my neighbors had sunshine in their living room. luckily last year we had our roof replaced ( maybe repaired? i don’t know the difference to be honest ) and that truly saved our home. our home had very little damage shockingly, and i’m extremely glad my family got out when we did and that my neighbors lived.

I was in Lincoln Nebraska that day. My family was in town for the Spring football game. The first EF3 tornado in Lincoln was the first live tornado I have ever seen In person

That first one looks like some evil cotton candy. I just can't believe the contrast between the tornado and the debris.

argh, i am one of those people that likes historical and old things, (I like new things also, but i just don't like seeing old stuff ruined.) I hope everyone was okay, since that is the most important thing!

I remember that day as we had to drive to my brother's rehearsal dinner one night and wedding the next day. Everywhere you looked in the sky here in Iowa, it looked like it was gonna drop at any time. It was insane!

Thank you for sharing such amazing footage but most of all thank you for your commentary and compassion. Many say how “awesome” or “cool” they are to see. Yes it is something you never forget. But that debris are people’s memories and lives. Which have been changed forever. I am from that area and know many who got hit hard. So thank you once again and be safe

I feel horrible for everyone involved. This many tornadoes in one day within such a short timeframe, that's insane. Weather is such a strong force and I'm super thankful we have people who are willing to take the risk to document and study these storms because if it were me, I'd be living under the ground for days after.

I love this kind of footage! No-one yelling "TORNADO ON THE GROUND", "POWERFUL TORNADO IN (town name)" every 3.8 sec. The calm narration and the beautiful yet nightmare fueling shots of the twisters are remarkable! I wish you all the best and i hope this channel grows more, this is superb documentation! Keep it up, i subscribed, and promise us you will not take any unnecessary risk! Sorry for my English.

18:52 "I can only imagine what is going through innocent motorists' minds right now as the tornado barrels across the interstate..." Motorists minds: "OHFUCKOHFUCKOHFUCKOHFUCKOHFFFFUUUUUUU" Genuinely, I can't say I'd blame them as it's probably how I'd have reacted seeing that *monster* of a tornado crossing the road ahead of me! All the tornadoes that day were insane but that Minden storm was just terrifying and my heart goes out to the people of that town and everyone else impacted by it. This video did a fantastic job documenting and presenting that day's events though, with some truly incredible footage too!

Living in a Hurricane Zone right next to the Ocean I look at this and wonder why Texas doesn't get serious about building codes. Done great as far as public infrastructure although the collapse of the Houston power grid is hardly surprising.

Thank God the resort that I was staying at in Sanibel Island me and my parents stayed at, we left before the hurricane hit the resort. I had gotten an EAS alert off from my phone that buzzed like crazy on silent. I was actually scared shitless because knowing my mom she would want to stay an extra day of being on vacation. I was like she would have been crazy if she did. Because me and my parents would have gotten severely hurt or worse killed. My brother had just gotten married and he was away on his honeymoon with his wife. But unfortunately my brother life was taken last year due to a skiing accident. I remember being on the phone with him that year of the time hurricane Ian was forming, and he had told me to stay calm and that whatever happens seek shelter and to get our parents off the island safely if my mom wanted to stay an extra day. Thankfully we were already back home in NY when it officially hit. My aunt had told my parents they had evacuated and had went to Georgia. This was so scary my aunt said.

To the people getting angry about the laughing, it’s adrenaline it’s a reaction people get, happens to soldiers hell, it happened to me before a car accident thankfully, no one was hurt, you can thank storm chasers like this guy going out there because they help people in immediate need, when they see it. and some of the first to call emergency services. Stop being so miserable yes it’s sad. But think before you speak.
