@@AH-MTB Im looking at maybe Qvist hubs now on gravitas rims. Apparently better than Onyx, but we'll have to see.

​@@leehorspool9744 have you looked into the ethirteen wheels? There rear hub is supposed to be good with the kick back thing built in. That's what I'll probably look at getting next.

@@dr.crentist3155 it doesn't come with a dropper post. I haven't got the bike with me at the moment to double check but I'm pretty sure that there is hole in the frame so that you can fit one.

Thank you mate 😁 👍 It's good fun, just practice until you are comfortable and then have a go at entering some smaller more chilled races. MIJ Downhill is a good one to try, they mostly use tracks that cater for all abilities and it's a fun event. Or malvern classic festival is coming up in August, that's just a grass hill with no jumps or anything, super chilled and you still get that race feeling

Ahhh ok, I wasn't sure if they would fit the start on the bank or not. I take it the start clock/beam is at the bottom of the drop in normally is it?

@@AH-MTB yeah logic would suggest your right, but somehow there doesn’t tend to be an issue with queing up there ( its quite laid back so people dont turn up for their race runs too early) . and previous the start beam has been half way down the chute and another time it was at the bottom if i remember correctly. have a good race dude its always an enjoyable weekend there

Yes definitely, take it steady first couple of times down and learn the trails, as some have gaps, but you can go around pretty much all of them without going over the jumps. stick to the trails on the right side to start with, they are the easier trails that will be great to start on. Update i went there on my 4th visit made the stupid idea of trying to jump the 2nd out of 3 doubles on the side pumptracky bit went too slow hit landing went otb

I have always liked Kona as a brand,you do have a good stock of bikes in your shop,

My hei hei cr isn’t the best specd your right, but im loving the frame more and more each day as well i have to say that the specs it comes with even though slx shimano it runs great and everything works well together. Will probably upgrade to a full xt group set but thats about it besides personalizing it with new pedals, handlebar, stem, etc…. Plus upgrading is a fun way to keep the bike feeling new and special over time.

He shows up every time and is always flying into the van and everything 😂
