Is it possible to add the zip pocket to view b? If so how would I go about quilting that side?

Yes! You can quilt the main fabric to the batting only as you would for view B (omitting the lining piece from one quilted side), then add the lining with the zipper pocket to that side as you would for view A. The lining with the zipper pocket will conceal the quilt batting.

what a great informative well given tutorial. I'm ready get the pattern and make myself a up-cycled Fairmount bag with re- cycled leather I salvaged from my no longer needed Loveseat. The leather was in perfect condition and I will make myself a perfect bag like you just did.

Good clear demonstration. By chance I made three of these Origami bags for Christmas gifts yesterday. My first time sewing in about 15 years. I struggled greatly with the handles as I am a hobby sewer and my first attempts, I would be interested to see them with handles so they can be used cross body as shopping bags. Mine don’t look anywhere near as polished as yours. 😊

This is a great style to ease your way back into sewing! I have been thinking about how to add a handle too. If I come up with a technique I like, you'll see it here first!

So timely, thank you! I made the original bag several days ago and really wanted to know how to add a lining without bulky seams inside. Thank you, thank you!
