Can this still be done with modified mortar? I tried it recently and had some difficulties as it seemed like the mortar was setting up inside the bag. Any tips or tricks

Why add the distracting "music"? We can listen to crappy "music" anywhere!

What a totally fucking ANNOYING video!! Morons who insist on adding stupid music to "enhance" it and you can hardly hear what they're saying!!

Great video, but I agree with the other comment about the music ... I lost a lot of your audio instructions.

Cake batter. The grout should be the consistency of cake batter, not peanut butter. Excellent vid, thanks for sharing.

I recently tried to repoint my brickwork using a mortar bag as per this video and it was a disaster! The mortar seemed to separate in the bag when I squeezed it and all that came out the end was a dribble of dirty water…made a right mess. I tried increasing the size of the hole but that didn’t help. I ended up pouring the mix back in the bucket and using a trowel to fill between the bricks. Not sure why but this mortar bag technique certainly didn’t work for me.

I want to do something like this around my existing painted brick fireplace. The tricky part is that I need to mount a 60" TV at the top, run wires behind/through the facade wall, and figure out how to situate a gas-insert fireplace back in its place when the job is finished. Adhesive sounds like a great idea for most of the wall, but I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to bolt a 60lb TV stand up there. I suppose the trick will be to use very long bolts.. ;)

I want to do a stone veneer fireplace that stops at the mantle. It’s been very difficult to find KZbin videos on how to do that because all these guys do the stone veneer all the way to the ceiling and I want it to stop at the mantle. Can anyone provide a link to a video that shows how to do this?
