*Update* : I wanted to add some additional commentary on Zephyros. Recently, I’ve been trying the deck without it by replacing it with 1 talents, called by, or Crossout and Arsenal Falcon with the dragon ruler xyz. To be honest, the change hasn’t impacted my win percentage, but I ultimately decided to keep zephyros because, while it sucks to draw, I think I prefer having a summonable 1 of that improves my going first in contrast to another non engine that I barely see (worth noting that there’s really no other hand trap I’d play and I don’t think maxing on ogre is better than cutting Zephyros). With all this said, 100% you can cut Zephyros to shift around your non-engine or even play set rotation. For now, I’ll keep the package. I’d also say, if you are under shifter, don’t go for the line, but, if you have the 3 card combo, use that. Lastly, if you do play the line, do yourself a favor and side out Zephyros when you are going second, it never comes up. And, I mean it this time, I’m going to try my absolute hardest to get some locals gameplay or some remote duels, so stay tuned!!

I will never understand why people want to run hand traps that cannot work under shifter. Effect Veiler and Ghost Ogre turn off when Shifter is live. It’s a potential brick/dead card combo. Unless you can chain Shifter + Droll or Shifter + Effect Veiler in the same chain, it doesn’t make sense to run Shifter + Hand traps dead to Shifter. Even more so with the Blackwing card, if you have Shifter live then there’s no GY. You either full send on Shifter or you don’t. If you draw shifter, are you holding it until you clear your grave or are you playing with no GY? Because then it turns off the blackwing. Practice combos with shifter. You should rank 4 into Steelswarm roach to negate Nibiru or Bystials. Thank me later.

@@ThatsSoGiorgio I’ve been playing cards bad under shifter for a long time and when I tell you it never loses me a game I mean it. The only time it ever hurts is specifically if my opponent is on a deck that plays shifter. You’ll also see most other topping Kashtira lists play 3-6 HT’s that are dead under shifter. Why? Because you need to draw them when you don’t have shifter. As for the zephyros combo, again, if you’re already winning because you have shifter up, you don’t need to go into it, the Kashtira stuff is more than enough. Roach is a good idea, but the combo is already nib proof to an extent and Roach just isn’t as good an end board piece as a pseudo skill drain or pseudo shifter. Also, it’s a really awkward card because of how it negates (can’t hit Flamberge or Yubels which is where I’d hope it could) Hope this helps :)

Steelswarm roach can't negate summons that happen as the result of effects he can only negate built in summons like synchros so he's unable to negate nibiru and bystials, fusion summons that are a result of fusion spells etc

@@anotheryugiohplayer946 I just read the card again, boi. I’m glad I didn’t try this at locals, it’s only inherit summons. I thought it was by effect and not mechanic that doesn’t start a chain. I’m taking that out of my extra deck asap.

I have a very similar list but I cut the veiler for nib and the prosp for crossout. I didnt feel like prosp came up enough for me and I hate getting nibbed. But that's just me. I know how good prosp is I've just never been a fan of prosp or desires.
@AriseYGO
@AriseYGO 3 ай бұрын
Absolutely understand the nib hate. However, if you watch my combo video, you’ll see that my combos don’t play into nib or have a backup plan if nib happens at a certain point. For that reason, I don’t see a reason to play Crossout, especially considering how resilient Kash is against HTs due to the sheer design of the monsters. Also, if I were you, I wouldn’t give up on a draw card like prosp that quick, especially in this deck that’s so bricky. Prosp does a lot for you: search engine, non engine, play through HTs, etc, I wouldn’t cut it. But if you’re seeing success, then keep at it, the main thing I’ve learned with this game is that once you’ve hit a flow with a list and deck, you’ll feel great.

You usually played 3 Theosis before to max out on the grind game. Banishing it to recur banished cards was so good. Also Shifter and Fenrir are both dumb good, saying they’re not that big of a deal is wild when Fenrir can be dropped in any deck at 3 for instant pressure. Snake-Eye is lucky to be able to run the engine for free material to send for Diabellstar and Snake-Eye effects.

I was more just commenting on my personal thoughts of shifter as a card being that it’s not as toxic now as it was in previous formats, though it will always be toxic. Also for Fenrir, it cycles between being good non engine. Currently it’s seeing play again but in previous formats it just wasn’t worth the non engine space. To each their own though!

Here are some tips and extra combos that I couldn't fit into the video due to repetitiveness and time-- *Fenrir + Theosis* -- SS Fenrir, Fenrir eff grab Riseheart, Theosis for Unicorn, Unicorn grab Birth, SS Riseheart, Riseheart eff banishing a Birth for cost. *Riseheart + Birth* -- NS Riseheart, activate eff banishing Unicorn for cost, activate Birth and bring back Unicorn, Unicorn eff grab Theosis, Theosis eff for Fenrir, Fenrir grab any of the Kashtira monsters (usually Unicorn or Fenrir for follow up on an open board) *Small mistake on Riseheart + Birth combo* -- I forgot to add off of Fenrir, but just add any Kashtira monster (again, usually Unicorn or Fenrir for follow up on an open board) *If you play Ogre and Prep* -- As discussed, Ogre increases the deck ceiling. During the link combos where you have theosis access, when you summon back Fenrir and add Scareclaw, you can use theosis to summon Ogre, grab Preperations and leave it on board, or use Ogre and Scareclaw to make Shang. *Going Second* -- Try your best to break your opponent's board whilst keeping Fenrir on board for the crackback (break the board and build somewhat of your own). Since this is a handtrap deck, a lot of the time you'll leave your opponent with nothing on board, in which case it is really easy to either OTK with this deck under 4 summons with Wraitsoth up or deal enough damage to put them on lethal under Flare Metal, still under 5 summons. Also, remember that Zeus is your best friend and worst enemy! Plan it out so you still have follow up if you Zeus the board! *Why do we banish birth for cost?* - A lot of the time, you’ll have a theosis in grave you can banish with Dark Armed or Scareclaw, which will let you add birth for disruption and follow up *What do I banish off prosp* Usually off prosp you banish every link except S:P and try to end on a board of S:P and Shang/Fenrir or Shang and Fenrir. With prosp, you really want to dig for planet (at least in game 1) to ensure your board is better with field spell pop since you can’t make your best board with Apo. Of course, you can always do some really risky banishes if you still want Apo (something like Flare metal, 1 spider, harmonizer, heatsoul, ty-phon, and S:P or Zeus) but it makes your crackback more of a gamble.
