this is not fair comparation. TRIAC S produced by Leister is same generation as your RION. Designed in around 2000. It has all this features + carbon brush depleting protection and aluminium blower housing instead RIONs plastic. FIY due to sufficient airflow , the front board damage is very rare. So If you want to be fair, BAK first should develop something what is comparable with design from 2010.

I'd say see the product Video again, it is spot on and informative. As a repairman, I see inside of both of these brands machines, there are subtle differences in their build quality & both are very high quality pieces of equipment. However, BAK is a better buy firstly at its price point and secondly, see the video again, all of its benefits are there in plain site. Genuine Swiss Build Quality ... Quality Wins!

Never seen a roofer use those welders only Leister so not sure if it’s better than leister if every roofer I’ve met uses leister

To be honest, I would rather have my crew use a hand welder for this detail. A $5- $8 thousand dollar tool along a roof edge 20 plus ft above the ground......nope! Do a video using it on a real-life roof! Then we can see how you use this tool along the edge!
