Rozz was waaaaay ahead of his time. What a legend! I had a chance to meet him after a local show when he was performing in Shadow Project. He was very kind and generous with his time for his fans.

This band literally pushed me into moving out west, to the land of Phoenix. Sadly by then (1989) M.S. was all done. But the bands that came from M.S. members were just as good. The Phoenix scene was and will always be special to me.

reddit lefty goths are trying to say he's unacceptable and problematic because this, that and the other. They try to pussify every alt scene. Good thing Rozz didn't give a shit about any scene and likely still doesn't. Left, right, whatever... they're both gonna decompose in much the same way.

I saw TSOL more than any other band. They consistently played shows around LA. They were headlining a show at a place called SIR Studios back in January 1983. Social Distortion, Red Kross, Los Olvidados, and Toxic Reasons were also on the bill. Supposedly someone threw a bottle or something at a passing cop car. Possible, but back then cops were always around our shows. A riot squad soon formed and forced the promoters to stop the show. But Jack kept trying to play and told us all to sit down in a peaceful protest. Eventually though we all got up and rushed outside to join the punks out on the streets. There was bottle throwing and fires being lit. John Macia's from Circle One was out there trying to lead us like an army lol. It was fun for awhile, but eventually the cops rushed us and people were getting cracked with batons. Back then the cops swung them freely. They weren't getting sued like happens now. I saw one dude fly threw a bank windows, I thought those things were tougher than that. I managed to avoid getting hit but I figured it was time to get out of there and ran down some side street til I got to Hollywood blvd. The following month an even bigger more insane riot would happen in Huntington Park, and I was there for that one too 😄
