This is such a catchy tune. I love it. I like the look of amusement on the lady's face when he went down to play the tuba.

YUK YUK YUK! I kept waiting for some boogey or rock 'n'roll to kick in but it never did. This would suit the really old coffin dodgers in the care home in right now.

I always loved the original version of this by Slim Harpo tho' I might have heard it first on The Rolling Stones first LP; I wonder if he ever got any royalties of them for that? This long version by BM&TT would be a great sound to jive to in a dance hall back in the day. WA-HEY!

Unknown in the early 1970s this was almost ZYDECO. Although not a USA hit I can imagine this going to be a hit in Louisiana or Cajun country.

Oh the irony, German audiences sat around like stuffed shirts, but Germany had the vision to save so much 60s and 70s pop music, while we in the UK who made most of it. Deleted all the tapes. A big thank you to Germany for saving our pop history on film. 👍😊

I'm glad to see that decadence has not deserted Southwater in my years of absence! Well done, lads. I do find it sad, though, that our old house (next door to Budd's butcher's shop) is now long demolished.

I only have 392 favourites on KZbin. This is #392, which means it's the first one I ever added to my favourites about 7 years ago when I first looked at KZbin. Still one of my very favourites.

OMG! Are these favourable comments serious? What a nauseating lyric - one of the worst I've ever heard. Plus a naive, simplistic melody and an awful arrangement. Thanks heavens it was made nine years ago; I hope it's sunk without trace.
