I wonder if the actors had any previous chemistry reading or something, because if not, then the creators of the show are one of the luckiest people to make something like this. The connection and relationship of these men felt real. I miss this show a lot.

the beauty of this show was the sheer intimacy and vulnerability they had between each other. they could touch and be close, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, all so naturally. you could tell just how much they loved each other. that love kept them together. it showed how important platonic love was. and I've never seen another show that managed that. every scene was made 10x more impactful by the little details of how they would touch or otherwise be intimate with one another.

One of my favorite characters. He looks just like a man of those times you think would look. He fought hard like a man, honored his friends and stood by his lord and god.

The real hero of the story for me. Leofric embodies most of the virtues I aspire to. His loyalty, his bravery, and his wisdom always made me want to do better and fight harder.

I think one of the funniest things about Welsh was the fact that got promoted to Sgt. THREE TIMES before he ever shipped out of the states because he kept getting demoted for throwing hands so much. Also he was the only person with the balls to slap Speirs hand away and even Speirs didn't push the issue. 😂
