I am Russian, we love American cinema. I love Russian cinema, we have little drive, they are very slow and there is a lot of talking, but there is no more soulful and philosophical cinema than Russian And the Americans are incredible in special effects, they evoke completely different emotions, but no less wonderful than those from Russian cinema. I love our countries, I love our films, and even though we are enemies because of politicians, we are brothers as nations, and even though we are different, this will not make us quarrel🇷🇺🤝🏻🇺🇲

I just realised that my favorite edit with napoleon has been removed from youtube and I have no way to view it. It was about a 1927 film, the background song was after dark, and it was about 4 minutes long

Странно, что в вашем списке нету ни одной комедии. Вы не любитель комедии ? P.S. Извиняюсь, что пишу вам на русском, а не английском. По идее, текст должен переводится автопереводчиком

So much about old cinema was from using artist's eyes to create frames. And the best visually interesting modern movies use similar tricks, making something look more deliberately framed like an artist's canvas.

I don't know if most people know the beginning of this meme, but it was supposed to contrast good stuff from the past with stupid practices of today... I like the compilation style of the new meme, but it loses some effect when there's no drop-change in the scenes. Every drop of the music should be a different scene.

If Japanese cinema simply looks like samurai, kaiju, anime, and drama over and over with the craziest fever dream you’ve ever witnessed mixed in every once in a while, you’re goddamn right and it’s glorious. Why make mid stuff across tons of genres with a rare hit every now and then (US/UK style) when you can perfect the genres you’re already good at?

Франция крайне недооцененна в плане искусства. Особенно французская анимация. В современном мире французская анимация лучшая и стоит на том же уровне, котором когда-то стояла японская. Однако японская анимация со временем лишь деградировала, в тот момент как французская стала только лучше
