Weird episode....Joyce is in the voting area but she does not live in that town....did she request "movie time mandatory" in her contract and must show up at each one of them somehow despite how absurd or illogical? Also, the poisoned drink of the woman was empty when she tossed it to Nettles....there are more weird stuff all over besides the lack of wardrobe with most actors wearing the same on different days. Bad director of this episode with really bad movie shots!!!!

I like the Midsomer show the show makes me nostaglic and miss England. This is a doosey of an episode. I really like John Nettles in this character, and find myself thinking and wishing we had more men strong men like him & Jones in real life & people who can handle criticism without falling apart. Thank you for sharing.

Somewhere a chandelier is missing one of it's lead crystals. The Iron Maiden scene the look on Jones's face as Barnaby went on about it being mechanical [interesting choice of names for a torture chamber, Maiden] 😄🔮 🔮

Ha ha, just noticed that in the final scene at 1:32:50, "Jezebel Tripp's" novel is in the library (character from season 7, episode 4, "Sins of Commission") Aside from having "The Rainbirds" revived (Richard Cant and Elizabeth Spriggs) as "The Goodings" (aunt and cousin of Dennis Rainbird, and creepy in their own way,) how playful to harken back to previous episodes, especially the pilot.

Owen Teale should have been more than a character actor. He was gorgeous as a young man . He has great presence and expression as an actor.

The only thing I don't like about these multi episode videos is there isn't a time stamp start for the beginning of each episode. Some, I've seen recently or I'm not to crazy about a particular episode. Other than that, I love these. I can just work and stream one of my favorite shows.

God bless you real good for these weirdly calming Midsommer murders. I cannot explain why I watch them over and over again? Is it the spooky music? Is it the murders? Is it the great acting from normal looking people? Thank you and bless all who watches Midsommer Murders.🎉🎉❤

Once again - “she’s dead” - but no attempt at CPR. 🙄 And then there’s the big man with a tennis racket who makes no attempt to protect himself. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m an American who loves these movies. Just can’t get over all the scenes in which victims make no attempt to control the situation. British acting is so far above American acting.
