I remember my biggest aspirations and life advisor - ethos, left .😢😂😅since then I'm all alone carrying the Ethos that never mine but i tired. She said use the heart. It's hard.

This shit actually broke my hart. Working in a job I hate, one that barely pays the rent. In a place that feels so devoid of soul. Gosh what I'd give to experience this again. I grew up in the moutians myself, spent many hours exploring them, drinking from streams. Climbing and running, relaxing in nature. My soul feels so sick without it.

great edit! I typically do not enjoy "fan" music videos, but your video appeared in my algo and I'm happy I gave it a chance "A Moment Of Romance" was on my letterboxd watch list, and your edit was the push I needed. a beautiful film, the top of my first watches this year. thank you

Carissa's Wierd has always made perverse music, down to the point even describing it as perverse refers to the second meaning (contrary to the accepted or expected standard or practice.) But through this, they reject the traditional folk themes of happiness, whether it's in the sombre piano notes or lyrics almost boasting about the nihilistic meanings. They have refused to even follow the conventional spelling, but to stay true to how it should be; an i before e. Unluckily for me, I found them 16 years too late from their 2003 breakup. Ironically, also when I WAS 16. Regardless, they've been able to enrapture me like seaweeds binding me below the water, like abstract art so bright you can't look away, so loud you can't tune it out and so obnoxious you can't think of anything else. They do this through soft silences, through such graceful attempts of sticking to the walls, you mistake their marroon as nothing more than bricks in the busy street, through such underground means you'd need a shovel and spirit to be aware they exist. Carissa's Wierd is a unique band I genuinely don't think anyone else will be able to capture their sound, or spirit.

every time I hear this song everything around me becomes so fucking emotional and desperate I was so fucking glad to be in love but you can't just keep those feelings alive for so long or turn these things back. but honestly it is easier to live with thoughts of nothing really happened and nothing ever will because it all makes no matter as we lost those feelings. both of us. I will always love you Carissa

Two pale figures ache in silence Timeless in the quiet ground Side by side in age and sadness I watched and acted wordlessly As piece by piece you performed your story Moving through an unknown past Dancing at the funeral party Memories of children's dreams Lie lifeless Fading lifeless Hand in hand with fear and shadows Crying at the funeral party I heard a song and turned away As piece by piece you performed your story Noiselessly across the floor Dancing at the funeral party
