As taxpayer I do appreciate the Acting Director’s openness and willingness to accept responsibility, esp. with the manner that he used during this press briefing. I can understand how much pressure those SS agents & local law enforcement personnel are facing now in such a politically charged environment. I appreciated that the AD tried to identify the gaps on July 13 without blaming local law enforcement for the Service’s failures. Once you acknowledge the problem, solving it should be easier.
