Hi Sudipta, We had lunch at The Living Room, part of The Presidency Hotel. If you are going from Kol to Vizag, you will have to take an U turn to go there. I would suggest you start really early to avoid the Satraganchi traffic snarl. Also, there would be multiple diversions pretty much as you cross over the border into OD up untill Bhadrak, so drive safe. Untill Cuttack/BBSR you would not have good washrooms, so have to depend on the big petrol bunks. Same between BBSR and VZG. Safe travels. Ps: we are en-route Kolkata for pujo and just reached VZG

Hi Pallabi, greetings from The Bong Wanderers. The property has a private beach, however, by the look of it, we felt that no one visits the beach, even the small gate that leads to the beach was also closed. The beach had all kinds of filth, discarded alcohol bottles and uncontrolled shrubs, it was evident that the beach is not maintained. The beach is a secluded one but not exactly private. We would not recommend to visit the beach and absolutely not with a kid, though the inside of the property is suitable for kids. You may plan to stay at Novotel/Gateway or others. However, they would not have private beach, actually none of the properties do. Alternatively you can visit the Bheemli Resort, managed by the Accor group, it is almost on the beach and at a location far from the maddening Vizag crowd, at 30 kms away from city center.
