0.30 "..features a major body-off restoration..." Do I smell b*ll-shit? You can't do a "body-off" restoration on a unitary construction car - it hasn't got a chassis from which you can remove the body!

"Splendid order in here..." Not with that revolting "Moto Shita" steering-wheel it isn't. Nobody with any sympathy with the interior of classic car would ever fit that clumsy, ugly thing - the black plastic centre with it's cheap and nasty granulated finish is like nothing you would ever find in any car from the 50's and 60's. The wooden rim doesn't match the interior wood-work and neither does the gear-knob. Ditto the plastic vents and control knobs for the air-con - completely out-of-period and don't suit the car at all. Nor is the Mark 2 "a fine-handling car in the first place" as claimed - they are ridiculously nose-heavy and roll and understeer like a pig. "Understeer with a capital "U"" was what the period road-tests said of it - and that was with the smaller, lighter 2.4 engine! The 3.4/3.8 engines just made the problem even worse - with power-steering and heavy iron-cased auto-box, the weight distribution is massively out-of-kilter at 59:41. With around 600 pounds more weight over the front wheels than over the rear, coupled with skinny rubber and very low-geared steering, the Mark1/Mark 2 is not a good-handling car and is frankly dangerous to drive fast on a wet or greasy road. (Ask Mike Hawthorn) The "four-link rear axle" stuff is nonsense - Mark1/Mark2s always had a "four-link rear axle" - the leaf-springs functions as the lower links plus they have two upper radius arms. If it now "corners flat" that will down to stiffer front springs and anti roll-bar. They are a great car - but not a good one.

A beauty, and very genuine. I totally agree with the painted wheels rather than chromed. Chrome wires tend to make cars look too bling, even on E Types, rather than the business like look here

The best thing you can do to a mark 2 is put an automatic box into it my mark 2 was a 2.4 automatic 1964 I bought it 1977 for £700 withe 43 thousand miles on the clock I was the second owner it had belonged to chivas regal the whiskey company paisley Scotland 🏴 wish I had never sold it

What does he mean "notoriety" - was it used by the Krays for a hit-job or by the Great Train Robbers or something? There is nothing "notorious" or villainous about it - it's just "famous" / "well-known" / or "noted".

"Stove enamelled" exhaust manifolds? Stove enamels wouldn't last ten minutes on an exhaust manifold - they're only single pack alkyd or acrylic with a heat-curing additive. The word "Stove" means that it is cured in a stoving oven - not that it is intended as a high temperature finish that can withstand being applied to a stove or to exhaust manifolds etc. Try "vitreous enamel".

The door gaps are nice and consistent but they are wide!! I've own a 1964 MK2 that has spent most of it's life in California hence an original, Unwelded/Bodged bodyshell and i can tell you my door gaps are so much more narrow! Top tip with a moss gearbox is to drain and refill the oil with 'Redline MTF' It will shift so much better!

Beautiful vehicle and obviously much time, money and effort involved. But why wouldn't you newer looking ancillaries such as hoses and that alternator? Surely if they were reconditioned/replaced, they'd surely smarten up the engine bay..

I bought my mark 2 in 1977 it was a 1964 2.4 automatic with only 43 thousand miles on the clock the car was originally owned by chivas regal whiskey 🥃 company from paisley Scotland 🏴 it was a dark maroon with red leather it was absolutely mint condition as it had been garaged and chauffeur driven from new I only paid £700 for it I used it as my daily driver for 2 years until I was on the motorway just outside Glasgow on my way to work I was overtaking a french registration articulated lorry when he came into my lane and crushed me into the crash barrier he never stopped sadly my beautiful jag was written off by the insurance company when I look at the price of just a basic one today I wish I had put my one into storage I can’t imagine what it would be worth now 2023

Exhaust manifolds would look much better with porcelain. Not that expensive. Prefer the smooth cam covers to these. I had a MKII with Jag 4-spd + overdrive. Worked just fine. Don't see the need for a modern 5 spd. Would be different if it were an E-type.

The only Mk2 that's worth having is a Mk2 that's just like it came out of the factory - Warts and all. It may drive better and it may be faster but this Jaguar is ruined.

I LOVE THE KX150, BUT THE INTERIOR IS SO SMALL THAT I FELT REALLY CRAMPED ON UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH LEG ROOM AND WOULD NOT BE GOOD FOR AN LONG TRIP WITH ALL THE ACK OF COMFORT SPACE.

Beautiful XKE concourse Jag, I worked for a British dealer in the late 70s/80s before they sold out. We had a burgundy concourse XKE in our showroom, at the time believe sold around 18,000.00. I wound up with a mint 76 MG midget, which I loved. I did own for a short time a 67 MK2 Jag, which sold to 1st looker! Thanks 😊
