These movies are still amazing considering the crap they have tried to put out since based on amazing fantasy books. I hate the way they did Robert Jordan The Eye of the World on Prime. Can you imagine if the director of Lord of the rings did The Eye of the World Series. Eragon 1 movie and canceled the others. Terry Brooks the Shannara chronicles 2 seasons and canceled. That could have been amazing. It’s like they screw up everything. The worlds don’t look right. Clothes are too bright they cast actors who don’t fit the roles. Peter Jackson did amazing on Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit movies. Wish there were more of him to go around.

Jumping over the Shield Wall was really questionable no doubt about it. But something else bugged me watching this in theaters and even when i bought the movies.. The CGI. i dunno if it just looked too polished or what but something about it didnt look right to me.

No one ever suggested that Frodo had defected. The mouth was saying that he was captured and was tortured. In the book, he was trying to get the company to let slip what Frodo’s mission was, as he had escaped by that point. Instead, he let slip that he didn’t know that there were two hobbits in Mordor.

This is the worst scene in the LoTR movies. JRR Tolkien would have been livid at it. Never kill the messenger. That is something the enemy does. Aragorn is way too honourable to do that. No wonder Christopher Tolkien was so upset about this scene.
