You take collage to a whole new level. It’s mesmerizing and wonderful.

I was sad when our culture stopped wrapping gifts and went to gift bags simply because I no longer had wrap to collect. I hadn’t thought of using fabric for collages in my art journal. Hmmm- fabric collage art journal -that’s a theme/thing. Have you thought about a fabric collage and paint class?

What a great idea. If you shop online like I do, you always have plenty of cardboard.
@GrumpetteJV4 сағат бұрын
This is lovely. However, an important thing to remember is that after you've practiced painting on it, this cardboard can NOT go into recycling!!! People need to remember that cardboard is NOT something that just gets tossed out, but will get recycled. Putting paint on it, is essentially covering it with plastic. So my advice is to take a more mindful approach and to not just see it as something cheap and so readily available for simple practice. Remember what cardboard is made from...trees! So it is NOT trash!

Romero Britto started out creating on cardboard. Early on galleries turned down his work-Look where he is now. He’s the most commissioned artist on the planet. I love to create art journals and junk journals out of my cereal and cracker boxes.

Thank you for the ideas! I work retail, and I am always looking over the packaging, old displays, papers... to see what I can use.

Thank you for sharing! I love working with cardboard too. Especially with some of the art projects I teach with children. I hope that they learn to be conscious of their environments and be creative with what they have around them.

I so admire your philosophy of creating beautiful art with ordinary tools and products. This particular formula is very portable for this full time traveler.

❤❤❤Dear Alisa, I love how you turn a simple loose scribble background into gorgeous florals. I've been making some paste paper designs today, but just using paint. Think I'll get my sketchbook out while they're drying. Love the music choice .😍💐📚🖌🇦🇺💖(Jan, 2025).

Really heartwarming to see a creator using budget friendly, easily accessible supplies. Creativity does not have a price tag. Oftentimes the simplest of equipment yields the greatest results.

Very good, but a lot of work, kudos! I think I would have painted the background black or a very dark indigo, so the vibrant colors of the flowers would automatically pop and require fewer details to create the needed contrast. But this was a great example of how you can still make beautiful art with the cheapest of art supplies, really whatever you have on hand, even if it's a single cheap ball point pen. In fact, the limitations that require us to be more creative to get the effects we want in our art, can be very beneficial in our artistic journey. Thanks for sharing this video!

Thanks a lot for all you share ! once again it's just gorgeous and not posh...there are so many artists that think everybody can or should buy expensive supplies in order to make real art...I think we're all looking forward to discovering next "broke artists" ideas !
