Acts of Desperation has quickly become one of my all-time favorite books. Megan Nolan’s storytelling is profound and deeply moving-it truly captured my heart. Thank you for recommending such a unique read and for steering clear of the overhyped books that everyone seems to suggest. Your recommendations are always a breath of fresh air!

Great Video, I love that the folk horror genre is moving forward in modern literature. Valley Versus Vision: Folk Horror in the Willamette Valley by Jahan Ihsan is a terrifying new Lithuanian and American folk horror. I highly recommend it.

I loved getting to know about each character, especially Zoe and Eleanor. Cleo and Frank reminded me so much of the relationship dynamic between my ex and I - it was an intense read.

ok the ending to A Touch of Jen was wild and I had to re read some parts lol
@maydreams76766 ай бұрын
I thought Eleanor was a useless character. I don't hate her, she just didn't contribute much to the plot. I didn't give two shits about her dying father, and neither did she tbh. She got the 'better' version of frank, she had no struggles. Except being in love with a married man? Grow up babes. Her 'sister hood' comment was a little weird and pick me vibes. The author TRIED so hard to make her relevant there.

We need to utilize libraries more. Having a place where you can get books and such for free (even for a limited amount of time) is a privilege that a number of communities, throughout the world, do not have.

This book messed me up too I really wanted them to work. I have an unpopular opinion though I didn’t like Elenor I thought she was annoying and trying. But as far and the romance goes I really wanted them to come together and cried when they went there seperate ways

I think I can see how/why the term romantasy came about but I feel like it's going to get increasingly difficult to categorize books because as long as it's not fully parked in the romance genre then the level of romance per book will always be pretty subjective imo. Anyways love hearing your reading wrap-ups and you've convinced me to start reading Alice Hoffman!
