I actually find cr v holds up better for wear than cr mo because it's harder especially at the anvil. Less chance of the moly cracking thou.

For occasional use they'll probably be OK. If you need these sizes frequently though, probably go a Name brand and 3/4 inch

Quinn is 50% less, and that HF no BS warranty is for real. Easy call.

Tekton, is trying to get most of their stuff made in the US, if it isn't its most likely made in Taiwan, their tolerances are really good and the quality of the tool is just really good. Their warranty service is top notch, just send a photo of the damaged tool to them and they'll send you a replacement no questions asked in quick order.

If you lose a socket you can buy individual Tekton replacements. Not so with Quinn. But the Quinn still isn't bad. I have the Tekton set.

That IS a nice screen on the higher priced HF one. I use a Klein IR5, and that does not have such a pretty screen, but seems accurate and does not blow through batteries. Thanks for the Vid!

I purchased Tekton when Meijer clearanced them out. Bought large wrenches up to 2" for $5 or less. Feel they stand up as good as tool truck brands, at ¾ of the price! Great Video! Please keep them coming 👍👍👍

FWIW I sold many thousands of these since the early 90s and I would put them up against any. They hold up as well as the big name brands for a fraction of the cost. Grey Impact sockets are made in the same plant I am almost positive. I sold both brands for many decades and never had any issues with them. One of the truly good deals left in the world of hand tools. They are about double the price these days it seems, but you can probably attribute that to our insane inflation by our govt spending trillions on ridiculous crap like their "money making" foreign wars. Regardless Dont ever be afraid to buy Grey or Sunex Impact sockets. The chrome stuff is not quite as good, but usually about on par with others. I always used all impact sockets for all my wrenching and fabricating except for 1/4" drive for many many years just for this reason.

I've argued with harbor freight that what I'm about to do to their tool the warranty won't cover. They said bring it back if it doesn't survive. If you fabricate it, take it back and they might be able to manufacture a new tool...while replacing the original.

You’re gonna take it back for a free replacement even after admitting that you ruined the tool by misusing it? 😆 I’d do that at Home Depot for sure , but I have respect for harbor freight.

Bottom line, the more that people buy communist china junk, the more they continue funding a communist regime. Our household lives on a strict budget as I'm collecting SSDI. However we will do without leisure things and save up for a couple months to buy Made in USA instead of putting more money into a communist regime who is closing our factories, losing 10's of thousands of our jobs, buying our American land, buying our businesses, and there is plenty more being exposed in our congress hearings concerning the serious threats coming from communist china and those here in our government and citizens who are encouraging the take over of our country

cr-v won't deform much as it is harder...it is not generally preferred for impact sockets as is shatters easier...cr-mo is softer and does not really shatter...the cr-v sockets will be harder on your tools and the hardware being removed than the cr-mo sockets which are classified as a consumable tool....the cheaper sets are cr-v

the thing is yeah that vevor set has more sizes but one you don't need those often and I would rather buy some old style solid sockets off of marketplace or something as I already have some 3/4 sockets that are huge and probably as old as or older than my dad and they can handle an impact no problem and aren't cr-va and two the pittsburg is much easier to replace under warranty since they all have lifetime warranty now I can walk in and have them warranty the tool.

Good short review I have a dodge ram 2500 and 2 other cars that I do mecanical repairs on. If it was just for my pickup truck I would buy the dcf900b but I find it big to fit in tight spots for a regular car so I might get the dcf891 instead. Wish its gonna have enough power for those big rusty bolts and for these u-joints on the truck

The price difference would not be a factor the first time you had to deal with hassle freight just in time and gas alone and that is if they have it or decide they want to let you have it! I can warranty TEKTON from any location and have it sent to me plus TEKTON is just better!
