Hi Dave and Barbara! Thanks for these great videos and all the info. My daughter and I want to hike the Fisherman’s this spring. I was wondering if you could tell us if there are any sections that we could skip due to the continual deep sand? If you would prefer to have our email address, I’ll provide. We usually use a trekking company, but want to do this trip on our own. Thank you!

I’m interested in doing a part of it that has access to hotel stays. We are in our late 50’s and fairly fit but love the comfort of a hotel. Is this possible?

Nice vid ,so how much weight did you carry!?
@hikingwithdaveandbarbara862923 күн бұрын
Hi Toffee674 - It might be on the actual blog hikingwithdaveandbarbara.com/corsica.html. It was probably 10k for myself with Barbara less. The weight could well of been higher though as as I carried several litres of water for the both of us. Sleeping bags added weight but no tents which helped. It was a hard hike though. Much harder that the TMB for example. Good luck if you decided to give it a go

Hi Dave - off the top of my head it was May. Everything was great, but we did have at least some rain each day. We really enjoyed the trip though. Good luck if you decide to give it a go - Cheers Dave & Barbara

Staying in Buonconvento was such a good idea. I wish I had done that. Buonconvento is such a beautiful place. I will say the hostel in Ponte d"Arbia was quite hospitable but the town is just blah.

So true David, but we arrived so late we just hiked down the road from Ponte D'Arbia to Buonconvento. The road was so dangerous though.

Hi Terry March is a great but we did not see many others on the walk Check out the written blog which includes the accommodation We booked the entire trip on bookings about this time last year. March is much cheaper than later in the year I cant think of any accommodation that was not great it was all pretty good, Key access and lock boxes all worked well www.hikingwithdaveandbarbara.co.uk/fran.html Cheers & good luck Dave & Barbara

Dear Deve and Barbara, I've been following your channel for about a year now, and I absolutely love your hiking videos. The chemistry between you two is fantastic, and it's clear you invest a lot of time in filming and editing, as your videos always look amazing. As a subscriber and virtual assistant, I’d like to offer a few suggestions to enhance your content: Try making your video hooks more engaging. This can help keep viewers from skipping in the first 30 seconds and increase your average view duration. Consider making your thumbnails more eye-catching to boost your click-through rate. Encourage your audience to like and comment on your videos to improve engagement. These three steps are key for increasing your views. If you find my suggestions helpful, feel free to reach out. I’d be happy to provide more details-I have three years of experience in this area. Wishing you all the best!

Hi Guys. Just catching up with life after the Dolomites. It was crazy hard that section. Made even worse as the dormitories were not great at the Refugio we arrived at. On the whole it was a great trip, but I think our days in dormitories are probably numbered - probably stick to cheap hotels where we can.😄
@simonhopkinson18152 ай бұрын
@hikingwithdaveandbarbara8629 congratulations on completing what looked to be an incredibly tough challenge 👍. I think our days of shared accommodation have gone too 😄. If we get ourselves sorted out to do a camino it will definitely be small hotel stays along the way.

The Shakespear isn’t the Shambles. The Shambles is a combination of two pubs that are currently next to the cathedral. It’s those that have moved location several times times, not the Shakespear
@hikingwithdaveandbarbara862923 күн бұрын
Hi Randy. Sorry for the slow reply. Just checked out the info I read outside the Shakespeare pub and this is what it says. "Originally known as the Shambles, the pub was built in 1656 in the city of Chester, 40 miles away. In 1928, however, the entire pub was dismantled and transported to Manchester."

Yep, like many others I can't believe you didn't include the Marble Arch & the Salisbury ! Marble Arch is just round the corner from the C & K and probably closer to Piccadilly Gardens than the White Lion ! Might have been worth mentioning for non Mancs that the BP and Pevs are quite close to each other, but then again they all are - and many more !!!

Hi Jody - Sorry for the very very late reply. It was an amazing 19 days from :Lucca to Rome. We loved the villages - so much history. Long story but I worked in Houston after leaving university in the UK for a summer back in 1982. Somewhere round Hollister if my memory is working properly. I was an Ice Cream man in a van Anyway, not sure if you managed to catch us in the Dolomites, but if you want a totally different Italian hike, this is it from a month ago hikingwithdaveandbarbara.com/AV1.html Take care in Houston Cheers Dave & Barbara
