A car with 275/45R22 tires is not an offroad car. No need to bother about deflating the tires. It will hardly make any difference. The chance of getting a replacement 275/45 R22 tire is slim in most places. In many countries, the smallest legal rim size for the LR Defender is 20". Not to speak of the excessive amount of electronics, the air suspension, the unibody etc. The Defender has become a Discovery 6 luxury version.

You mentioned of centering. I recently got my territory in Dubai and what i noticed is on the straight road driving right straight the steering is slightly bent towards the left. It never stays levelled and if a forcefully try keep it levelled straight the vehicle moves to the left. Is this a problem ?

Nice review.using the car since 5 months.love it.but yes the steering pulsing issue u mentioned was abit annoying for me in the start and even gave it for service but there is nothing to be done.. now m use to it. Glossy piano black middle console on long drive is abit irritating to eyes due to reflection..and the clock..after a week the time is like 5 to 6min plus.and after 2 months it was a 12min difference than actual time. Rest the car is really good to drive.comfort, power, acceleration all excellent

I want to really like the new defender 130 and it would be a dreamish machine if it did not have huge reliability issues. You just cannot rely on these vehicles for outback travel, knowing that some silly light will come on, and /or the battery will be flattened after several hours of being parked with rear door open or it mechanically just dies in the middle of whoop whoop, as we say in Australia. Check out 'next level oz big lap gap year' for just one of many examples of the pain you must go though as an owner, be it a temporary one indeed

That was only one and he got his issues sorted. Im on all the Defender groups and most have no problems. I take it you have seen the three Defenders doing a 35,000k trip Antwerp to Sydney? Zero problems with any of them. Also the Bowler rally. Plenty of them all around the world doing massive trips.

I have been off-roading for 30 years for both professional and personal reasons. Currently living in the Middle East. For remote trips to the desert, the new Landrover Defender is not accepted. The reason is the proven lack of reliability of most Landrover models. If there's an issue, the chance of fixing it in the field is less than slim.

I like the look of the 110, 130 looks a bit weird. As for bad reliability it is blown out of proportion. Im on half a dozen owners groups and most have no problems.

Now THAT is an excellent spec! We own the Jaguar XKR-S GT, the Project7 and the Project8… the rarest modern Jaguar collection in the world. W are looking for a Jaguar F-Pace Project88 right now.

I looked at the 88 edition but didn’t like the colour scheme. Light gold old style wheels from first generation f pace SVR, looks black in most light. Gold trim looks a bit tacky, prefer the later style wheels with red calliper’s. I ended buying a high spec Sorrento Yellow as shown in this video. Fantastic car, does everything in one car. Up there with my most favourite car I’ve ever owned and I have had most supercar brands and sports cars. Good luck.

Guys plz tell is jaguar f pace a fine choice. The machinery in new piece of car gets damaged within a year or needs to be repaired and replaced. Thats what reviews are

Of course, you’re correct, you will never use the top speed, not even on a race track as the straights aren’t long enough. Having said this, for me the object of this cars engine/performance is not (BHP) top speed but (torque) acceleration and this has loads of it, added to which the engine note! Great review of a great car, Fraser.

Awesome video, I was engaged throughout the entire thing, it felt as if a friend walked me through his opinion of the car. I have the same model Jaguar, but older and not as powerful, loving it still and this video was a great insight of how far the Jaguar engineers could take it (absolutely loving that color btw!)
