Hey Paul. I have the same set up as you and was wondering if your upper shelves are so close to your Dust Box, how to you adjust the damper on the side? Do you know where the casters were purchased from.

Hi, not enough room for a hand but I can still adjust with something thin like a wrench. Casters: amzn.to/3VJrBsr

Do you happen to know how big the sofa is from arm to arm Thinking we would take it out and put in a trifold.
@pfwoodworks2 ай бұрын
56". There seems to be a lot of tri-fold sofas at 55". I just can never tell from the pictures whether the cushions are attached or not. I would want the seatbelts to be able to be passed through to be safe and legal for the extra 2 passengers. I would prefer a tri-fold sofa that could be properly attached and the seatbelts usable. That was my first thought

Yes, too many people are getting burnt with this. I have been doing it for 5-7 years and only once did I receive a $300+ pedal. It's fun & I always wait for the 25th to open mine. It came this morning & it looks/feels like the crap prize of another Guitar Strap and stings I do not need. The appeal is almost gone for this routine with most people. This was the first year that it did not sell out in minutes. It was still up for grabs 24 hours after they posted it. I guess, people are well bored with getting crap for their money. I will still do it next year. All the best to all for 2024! Peace on earth towards EVERYONE!

Nice video but for this application I recommend use 5/30 dominos and set machine on 15mm depth. If you want use 6/40 dominos I recomend set 15mm depth for perpendicular cut and 25mm depth for longitudinal cut. In both cases domino dowels will be hidden.

taking much, much longer then pocket screws and much , much more expensive. I can get a good quality pocket hole jig for 150$ and domino costs 1500$
@pacificdune11 ай бұрын
I would probably use a pocket hole jig too if all I was building were shop cabinets. I use my domino machines for things like doors, bed frames, railings, etc… Not sure why he’s taking so long with the domino. Maybe he’s just learning the machine. My drawers would go together much faster than this.
@paulfilion827611 ай бұрын
I would not purchase the Domino for only doing drawers also. This video was meant for those who already have a Domino or on the fence to purchasing one and shows another possible use for it. I bought mine when they were $700 which I thought was a lot at the time especially for a hobby woodworker.

Dude, thanks a lot! I hate my pancake compressor. Last weekend, when I was leaving for work at 4:30 in the morning, I noticed a nail in my tire, causing a slow leak. I turned on my Craftsman pancake compressor, and it was incredibly loud, waking up the entire neighborhood. I’m now considering getting a quieter California compressor; they seem like a good deal.

Nice informative video. I’m on the cusp of buying my Domino 500 so I’ve been watching videos on how to use it. I was certain you made a mistake when you started the holes on the sides of the drawer from the outside. I didn’t realize you intended to go all the way thru! I do kinda like the contrast between the side and the domino. However is there a way to do the sides w/o going all the way thru; a shallower cut, but then I guess the domino would be to long….?
@paulfilion8276 Жыл бұрын
Hi, it took me awhile to take the plunge and purchase the Domino 500 as I'm a hobby woodworker but glad I did. Yes, you can easily make shallower cuts by setting the depth stop. I have done this also. Use shorter dominos or cut them. I cut them safely on my bandsaw.
@pacificdune11 ай бұрын
Yes. In this project you would just set the depth of the sides to 15 and the depth on the ends to 25. This way your dominos will be completely hidden. I have both machines, the 500 and the 700. I’m a hobbyist, but no regrets whatsoever. These are really nice tools. I use the 500 mostly for 4/4 stock and the 700 for when I’m using 8/4 or 12/4. (Doors, railings, bed frames, etc…)
