How do these machines do climbing hills? our property has some steep inclines. nothing major but still
@TeamRidgeRiders8 күн бұрын
@sheepdogs762mm - before doing some of the performance upgrades, these machines did struggle with hill climbing. It just doesn’t have enough power from the factory. The upgrades that provided the most torque for better climbing were the ECU flash, Gilomen clutch roller kit, and the sprocket. ($700-800 total). Currently rebuilding the transmission in Jack Hammer’s 200 after the last trip and will be making a few additional performance upgrades as well. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more on these machines!

@jul7700 You will not be disappointed either way! We currently prefer the Scrambler 1000S just because of the amazing suspension. If you don’t want to be covered in mud and water and want some storage then the Outlander may be a better choice. Good luck and let us know what you decide!

Ehh if the outty hadn't wheelied, then he let off to drop the wheelie. Get back in the throttle and it still was going to drive off and leave the scrambler if the race was longer. I wouldn't call that to close. Scrambler is still pretty sweet though.

did you check the valves at 12 hours during break in?
@TeamRidgeRiders16 күн бұрын
@4estmr472 - We did not check the valves on either of the RZR 200s. We did confirm recently that some of the 2025 models are arriving to the dealer and are unable to run brand new. We were told the O2 sensors and out of spec valve settings are the cause. Currently, the 02 sensors are on backorder so they are hard to find.

Just subscribed! I have a24’ Polaris xp1000 sportsman. Love it. I want another. And it’s between the XTP and the scrambler. Is the Xtp that much better than the xp1000 sportsman or should I get the scrambler? Is the xtp really much better than the standard 1000? I’m curious about the width of the scrambler. What would you buy? Thanks
@TeamRidgeRiders21 күн бұрын
The XTP is a fantastic ATV, but the Scrambler is on a different level due to the suspension. The Scrambler’s width has not been a problem for us, but you may want to get some extended fender flares to keep the mud and water off of you.
@trout745421 күн бұрын
@@TeamRidgeRiders so would you get the sportsman 1000s with the fenders already or is the scrambler better than the sportsmans?
@TeamRidgeRiders20 күн бұрын
@trout7454 They are very similar. If you value some storage and mud protection, then the Sportsman 1000S is a good choice. It is about 100 pounds heavier than the Scrambler. Also, you have to get a 2025 model to get the Walker Evans shocks with the sportsman.

I lead and my wife brings up the rear in a Honda Pioneer 1000-5, along with two dogs, my 3 yr old Grandson, and supplies. I’d love to hear from the Dads about what it takes to do these trips right, with kids. And, maybe some insight into what we’re likely forgetting. Keep up the adventures!

Thank you so much for watching! It is great to hear more people are introducing motorsports to their children and grandchildren. We approach our trips with safety and fun in mind. After discussing our rules for riding, we started with green trails and stopped frequently until the kids got a good feel for the trails. Our videos focus mostly on the riding, but we also make sure the kids have time to play and enjoy the campgrounds and nature. We didn’t want to burn them out on the riding too soon, but now they don’t want to stop riding! Good luck and have fun with the kids. AND buy them some MUCK BOOTS for the mud and creeks!

What do you think of the new stick tire design. They dont look like they offer great traction on acceleration the way the threads are in the center. Have you ran the Terra cross? How do they compare to them?
@TeamRidgeRiders25 күн бұрын
Josh here…I may not speak for the entire group, but the stock tires are ok. They have gotten us around just fine, but I prefer the Terracross and big horn style tires.
@HakanBRP26 күн бұрын
How is it compared to scrambler in terms of balance and hill climbing?
@TeamRidgeRiders25 күн бұрын
In our experience the Scrambler is a little better balanced just because of the wider stance. Both machines climb the steep grades well when they are smooth, but the Scrambler is much better on rocky climbs. The Scrambler excels because of the width, length, and suspension articulation. It is able to keep all four tires planted in situations where the XTP has a wheel off of the ground. By the way, we are fans of your channel. Great job! We will be sure to mention you in our content.

@rodgarcia656325 күн бұрын
@TeamRidgeRiders I purchased the sproket kit which will come in handy as I intend to put bigger tires on it and it could use some lower gearing. I took it out on a straight road today and got it up to 55 km/h which is a good 10 km/h faster than stock. 1st gear is super low though so I would leave sprokets stock if tires are going to stay stock size. You guys could offer this as a custom package for buyers. I believe it would be really easy to put a 125 cc in as well. As I understand the extra cc comes from the stroke so the stock head would still bolt on and it would still bolt it. Not 100% positive about that but I am looking for a cheap used 125 just to see. I will let you know!

@@joshdickens8281 I probably won't get larger tires for a couple months as we still have 3 feet of snow here so cant ride very far yet...🤣. So far the 3 speed 110 cc I put in there runs perfect and like I said bolt right in so I probably won't try a 125 cc unless I can find a cheap used one to experiment with. If you want to do the project yourself and have any questions just let me know!

What is your process to replace the speed sensor for the RZR 200?
@TeamRidgeRiders29 күн бұрын
@explorerdead - OEM part # for speed sensor is 3239727 and sits on the back of the gear case. Very simple to install, believe it’s just one 10mm bolt. Make sure when replacing that the new sensor has the o-ring or you take the one off the old sensor otherwise it will leak fluid. When these go bad the machine goes into limp mode and will require you to clear the ECU after you replace it. We purchased the Dynojet scanner but any of them will do. Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.
@explorerdead29 күн бұрын
@@TeamRidgeRiders I have had mine less than a month. It got stuck in ice and the code popped up. Polaris said the instructions would be in the box. It wasn’t. I appreciate the help! I haven’t been able to find anything specific for RZR 200. What scanner? Do you have a link?
@TeamRidgeRiders28 күн бұрын
@explorerdead Sorry to hear about the troubles. Unfortunately they do seem to go bad right out of the gate. We have kept one in the cargo box ever since as a back up but thankfully have yet to need it. Dynojet part number is PV3-19-12. Here is the link. www.dynojet.com/power-vision-3-for-polaris-rzr-570-1/ If you ever decide to flash the ECU, you can also use this scanner to download / upload those tunes!

@dannychambers7653Ай бұрын
@ I added the factory glass tip out windshield at the beginning, it has the manual wiper. Since then, I picked up SuperAtv glass rear side windows and lift gate. Then in the fall, I added the Polaris brand canvas uppers. The cab is now fully enclosed, but without a heater, the windows fog up pretty bad. I’m considering adding factory heat. Hindsight is 20/20 for sure.

What you think about suspension? Inknow polaris have good too, but how about g3 man???
@TeamRidgeRidersАй бұрын
The suspension is great. We questioned the move away from trailing arms on the rear, but both of the new 2025 Outlanders we have ride better than the older models we owned. The QS3 shocks provide very quick adjustments with noticeable changes in all 3 settings. The combination of the clutch and suspension do a great job of putting the power to the ground. Our last XXC model spent more time spinning the rear tires on quick take-offs.

We hear you, but when pushing these machines to their limits, we tend to find some of the design opportunities. One time might be user error, multiple times on two different machines is a trend. Let us know if you happen to come across it later down the road!
