We’re in our third winter here and one thing we miss about the warmer seasons is patio dining. Because we have a spoiled dog who we don’t leave home alone and who loves a fabulous gay brunch as much as we do! Well… most dog friendly patios are closed BUT our super adorable and social butterfly of a dog gets his festive fix at the breweries. So many breweries in the Twin Cities allow dogs inside and they hit the spot, all year long. Nine Mile Brewing in Bloomington, Wandering Leaf and Lake Monster in Saint Paul are particularly good with food options close by. Broken Clock in NE Minneapolis gets an A+ too. Oh- Craft and Crew Hospitality, full service restaurants scattered throughout the metro, have year round dog friendly dinning too, including a dog menu!

Did I say they are going to “come out and check”? I did not. However one of the questions they ask you is about the condition of the roof- I suppose you’re right! They may give insurance with an absolute shit roof and charge you so much you can’t afford the premium and then also not pay a claim.

Great video Mary. I wasn't aware basements were so essential in Minnesota. What about attics? Do they add value to a property? And if it's a split level house, is the bottom floor the basement or can it still have one? My dream home would have both a finished basement and an attic.
@MarySchumann
@MarySchumann 6 күн бұрын
Some split levels are 4 level - which means they have 3 living levels and a basement, but others are just partially underground. I would consider this underground piece to be "basement" even thought not fully below grade. Attics are fairly meaningless as far as value because we typically just stuff them with insulation they are not living spaces.

Hi Mary, another great video. Spot on with so many points. If you look at true 'total tax burden' the differences are small, and as you said, when a state is well run "you get what you pay for". I hate articles or comments that point out 'State X has no sales tax' or 'State Y has no income tax'. You have to look at total tax burden and then look at what you get for it. Try as you might, we won't be dissuaded. ;-)

I’ve only been to Minneapolis once, but the way you describe them reminds me of Dallas and Fort Worth. Fort Worth being the older, more historic feeling city, with Dallas being the modern, bustling city with skyscrapers. Main difference is DFW’s ridiculous scale lol. Good video.

The LGBTQ crowd wasn't kidding when they said, "We're coming for your children". Their agenda is well known and already on display. They indoctrinate young children by exposing them to perverted sexual practices in graphic detail through books videos and of course drag queen story time in public schools and libraries. You talk about safe places for the LGBTQ but where is the safe place for young impressionable children? And when you mention women's reproductive rights, you are using a tired old slogan that sounds quite noble but actually means a woman has the right to murder her own baby while it is in the womb. May God have mercy!

let me guess... you're a man? Women are DYING because they can't get medical care when they have a miscarriage. You can't "impress" kids into being gay any more than I assume you made an active decision to be straight. Trans people are a VERY TINY part of the population and you're TERRIFIED of them. You should probably talk to someone about that.

If you want more of that coastal/Acadia vibe, I recommend looking at the north coast of Lake Superior and northern MN in general! I live in the Twin Cities metro and the nature is beautiful here too! @@MarisaWitteThey are similar, which is why I was bewildered when the poster mentioned Maine in the same sentence as 'red state.' All of New England is blue and liberal.
