Nice interview with music singer L.J. Reynolds of The Dramatics. L.J. Reynolds, The Jacksons(RIP Michael Jackson, RIP Tito Jackson), Vanity(RIP), Florence Ballard of The Supremes(RIP), Cameo, Zapp(RIP Roger Troutman), Beyonce Knowles are my favorite black music singers. I agree with L.J. Reynolds about rap music being a bad influence on black men to rob and kill black people for money, calling black women b*****s, h***, gold diggers, getting bad grades in school, selling drugs, talking street slang words instead of speaking english words, sagging their pants showing their underwear. L.J. Reynolds said him and The Dramatics would've never did Doggy Dogg World song with music rappers Snoop Dogg, Dogg Pound if The Dramatics knew Snoop Dogg, Dogg Pound was gonna use curse words.

This video brings back memories. This show was at "The Boathouse" in San Francisco. The Players were just getting back together. Diamond, Sugarfoot, Billy Beck and Chet along with Darwin Dortch on bass and Ronald Nooks on keyboards. Diamond's brother "Kenny" and myself were the "Funky 2" road crew. "The Baddest Band in the Land"... "Keep Funk Alive"!!!🤟🏾

I appreciate this channel , Love this interview with L.J. Reynolds . It was very insightful . Love to here about the Detroit music scene . Great quote by L.J. - Change with the times but stay true and his perspective on today's hip hop culture .

The late great underrated Lenny Mayes did what lead vocalists are to do singing hits you didn't record. He made "In the Rain" his version. Be real, it stands out greatly.

Accurate. I was one of Rick's best friends. There were 3 us that were really tight and we all went to and witnessed those early Sly, Funkadelics, etc concerts . We called ourselves the Genessee 3. Genessee was a street we lived on. Rick taught me bass and I was the 1st bass player in the band we called the Ricky Rouse Club.
