A cubic function has either one or three real roots (which may not be distinct); all odd-degree polynomials have at least one real root. The graph of a cubic function always has a single inflection point. It may have two critical points, a local minimum and a local maximum. It's not necessary for one of the roots to be zero.

That is correct but make sure you put the formula in like this H2O, the first letter of the element symbol is always capital letter.

A very comprehensive explanation of the method - the explanation is more in-depth as you follow the 3 equations that are solved. I had no idea how solve it and by the end of this video I'm pretty sure I could solve one of these equations!
