I carried a fanny pack/battle belt combo on my most recent sandy vacation. Some things to consider are when riding in vehicles, you wanna avoid overloading the fanny pack as it will make it more difficult to access from the seated position. Additionally, while seated, it's not the most comfortable with this setup, especially if you have larger items up front. Case in point, I have my rifle reload mounted forward horizontally, and at the time i was trying to stuff a ton of med in my fanny back, that coupled with my giant tree trunk legs, and that makes for a pretty uncomfortable ride. Your mileage may vary.

@@jacobkilman8444 in a vehicle I generally wouldn’t wear my belt. I spent some time in a CAAT platoon so I’m fairly familiar. I used to run the og CSM nut ruck, but like I said in the video the benefit is that you can scale up if you have to, but it’s something that you should avoid if you can help it. When I cover the plate carrier set up there’s some things that I think would clear up some concerns or considerations, especially with what you mentioned.

But regardless, all valid points you make and things to consider when selecting what you’re carrying.

@johnglomba2659 Having been in a stryker unit for 5 years, the vehicle accommodation struggle is real, not unlike the struggles associated with carrying a ruck everywhere. I have pretty much adopted the philosophy that no matter what I do, it's always gonna be uncomfortable to some degree, but I still learn about what sucks and what sucks less, so that I can pass those tips off on the new generations, and maybe even our peers.
