Looks like you were in a derecho. A derecho is not a tornado but a heavily condensed line of severe thunderstorms that produces straight-line winds.

I agree that these are straight-line winds. Sometimes a gustnado, a cyclone due to lower-level wind shear, will form in a straight-line wind event but the damage from them is often difficult to distinguish from wind damage.

Friend, that looks like you were in straight line wind damage. Boy, you got a lot of trees down there when I'm seeing in the video now. If that's your property that was straight line wind damage. That's not a tornado there'd be nothing standing after a tornado went by. The damage would be far worse than what I'm seeing with the trees. They either be completely snapped off or gone completely.

Depends how close the tornado is and how strong it is. We're all assuming this video is supposed to be depicting a direct impact but that's not necessarily true. I still doubt it was a tornado, though.

@@catpoke9557 yeah cat poke. I'll agree with you. Looks like you're in a hurricane. The ratio one of those land hurricanes where the winds can get up to 70 to 100 mph. I've seen other videos on KZbin like the one you just went through boy they can do a lot of damage that straight line wind damage. Thank you for the response back. Good luck to you.

The enhanced fujita scale is a thing, and this could have been the windfield from a destructive tornado, or an EF0-1 tornado.

😢😮 looks like friend. You're inside one of them the The d ratio storms I agree with the guys top comment. It looks like straight line wind damage. Those ones can reach up to 100 miles an hour easily. I'd be staying away from the trees cuz they could all let go too. Thank you. Good video though I enjoy.

Mircoburst ? We had one in az last night and it looked like this... crazy stuff and scary , they come very quick , i was walking my dog and as soon as we walked in bam it got so scary outside, we lost our power for 9 hours

Hi serge it's a microburst and not a tornado, with a tornado there would be no more leaves in the trees and your flowers and corn would be uprooted but it's still a very violent storm thanks for the video

Hi serge Yes, very powerful, the microbursts are very dangerous, we often don't see them coming, the microburst winds can reach 90 miles/hrs. I hope your damage will be minor, serge bey and take care💨

Nope, this is straight line wind damage, although storms like this can produce wind gusts over 80mph. Look up Iowa Derecho and you can see how vicious they can be.

Not a tornado, but pretty spectacular straight line winds. The winds shift direction in a tornado, these winds were consistently from the same direction. Great video though.
