I thought about it, because I liked to be under 12m. In some countries boats >12m count as "big" boats and there are unproportional price jumps for berthing, channel use etc. But I had choosen the 4.2 because of the frontdoor. It's a game changer on long passages, as you save the unsafer way around. The really huge storage locker/bench at aft is very nice too. Length? >12m .... grrrrr....

Yeah, no defects while sailing. (Meanwile a srew jumps out of the O-ring, but I catched it and secured every screw with cable binders). The autopilot works fine, also the steering towards a wind angle (for lazy sailors) works like charm.

1. No they didn't. I never saw this at another boat, but I know there is some special "high speed" anti-fouling available. 2. Good question. I forgot to look for it. It feels ok while maneuvering. The new propeller is way more "reactive".

The Bali 4.2 is build in Tunisia (Haco Boatyard) only. So I could not choose. Only the more expensive models are produced in France.

Yes, the bilge pumps are mounted on a backing plate about 1.5cm above the sink for the water. The pump went on but leaves some water in the sink. This water causes the pump turn on on each shaking of the boat.

Yeah, I love perfection. Some issues are less (too small/weak screws), some are quality things like the cabinet door alignment (not fixable), some are big (where I expect a fix).

Inviting people how took days of and sending them back without even sailing was most frustrating.
